I'm planning to go to Lisbon next week and Sigma at the end November, how long does everyone usually go for as I'm thinking of doing 1 day next week and 3 days at Sigma?

Personally 1 day is usually plenty for me.
I am mystified as to why they have extended SiGMA from 2 days to 3 this year

I will spend 2 days in Malta, but one day will just be for sight-seeing and relaxing!

I will have meetings on Thursday and Friday next week and Saturday is reserved for Lisbon sightseeing ;)
Still not sure about going to Malta this year...

What do you expect to do at the conference? How many appointment / meetings do you have?

Looking at the trade stands doesn't hold much value - and the speakers are usually covering entry level subjects - so there is little to do at the conferences beyond a 1-2 hour walkaround.

One day is plenty for a conference - add in as many sightseeing days as you want to ease the travel schedule.

It could be because they are increasing the conferance with twice as much space as last year. But thats just a guess :p

It's Malta, so double space will be also double as much as stands with yachts, real estate, offshore companies, etc. :)

How many time is enough depends. Walking around and seeing the booths is done within an hour or two. After that I guess most people are fed up with 100 times "Are you having traffic?" "Do you have forex traffic?", etc. Usually, there are also speakers, dinners, etc. And meetings with programs.

I usually do a day of meetings and a day of walking around. To speakers, I go just if there's something interesting. Dinners I go when I am invited. :) Or I go with people I know to eat and drink something. The parties are usually boring and for people that didn't have anything else to do.

I go usually a week, as (to me) it's not worth traveling for being there a day. Hence, it all depends. If you want to be there as less as possible than I would plan all meetings in a day. Arrive the day before, attend the conference + your meetings and leave the day after.

    Hi!

I'm attending the Malta conference each year. It is really worth going. The event is growing constantly.

If you´re heading to conference strictly for business, one day full of meetings will be ok, but if you want to have some fun as well, and you want to enjoy the atmosphere, whole conference + night parties are great way to spend time.

Yeah exactly. Plus half the time the bottom line is 'can you email me your sites / to discuss a deal'.

I like a bit of a wander round as it can lead to some interesting info (that's how we first found out that racebets were being bought by betsson and that karamba were launching sports) but a quick once around with a beer does the job.
