Hey guys!

How do affiliates feel about using the Net Refer affiliate software?

I'm under the impression that many of the big European programs use it, and it would be interesting to understand if this is also an important criteria for affiliates.

From a program point of view, I would imagine the 3 most important are;

1. Affiliate friendly terms & conditions
2. Good value reward structure
3. Competent affiliate team w/ good customer service

Cheers,

Rooster

I like NetRefer. The interface is easy to use, and the tracking seems to work fine. Their main competitor is Income Access, and if I had to choose one over the other, I would choose NetRefer. It's just a better product overall.

I hate that it cannot be viewed if you use IE.

I do have other browsers, but they are reserved for certain functions and going to aff sites is not one of them. With a couple dozen windows open all the time, I have browsers and tabs arranged methodically so I can bring up anything anytime.

This totally screws me up and I don't see any reason why they cannot make this site available to people who use what most people online use - IE.

And I don't want to be preached to about what browser I can and cannot or should and should not use. I just want easy, simple access.

FAIL!!!

@ Dominique- are you sure it's not possible to use Net Refer in IE? I'm only using a trial service at the moment as we are waiting for the integration with our IT department, however, the trial version in IE seems to work smoothly enough. Completely understand what you mean with alt tabbing through windows, it's a nightmare to need multiple browsers.

@Engineer- happy to see the positive review of Net Refer. I'm hoping from an affiliate point of view it's going to be the business.

Off the top of my head I don't know who uses it.
Can you name some of the programs?

KK

Paddy Power, Blue Square/Grosvenor, 32Red, MyBet, Boyles

I like both. I don't log into NetRefer much as I use Internet Explorer and am adverse to letting Google controlling (even more of) my life but when I do use NR (for campaigns mainly) it's good but I find Income Access slightly easier in that regard.

I find the way my aff managers can set up deeplinks to content in Net Refer really quickly when I request them very handy. But the Income Access staff are excellent and always there to back up the aff managers which I like too.

Bottom line is they are both very good :D

I work with all of those except MyBet and I only use Internet Explorer - no problems here!

If this is Net Refer, then I really don't like it at all. :(
There's not enough stats (or I can't find them) and usually it just ends up leaving me frustrated and confused.
For example, with the 32Red group I can never work out how to view the stats from each of their 4 casinos. Maybe it's just me being thick - but I don't have this problem with most other affy back-ends.

Can anyone get Paddy Power to load up properly?

I just tried it in IE, Firefox and Chrome but it won't load right in any of those.

It worked fine last week when I loaded it.

Cplanet should sell their backend.

I suppose another advantage to using NetRefer is they build the affiliate microsite for you.

I'm sure there are pro's & con's when you compare doing your own build vs outsourcing to Net Refer but, seems to me they do a pretty solid job. A simple affiliate friendly site that is easy for affiliates to navigate would be the main criteria. Word press is pretty straightforward but looks like Net Refer have good designers on their side.

Has anyone worked with the Net Refer microsite designt team?

I like it, never been an active affiliate though. I'm also under the impression that most european bookies use net refer. ( maybe the most common used affiliate software for eu bookies ? )

I've worked with all the major affiliate programme software providers and my preference is NetRefer.

It is very easy to use from an admin point of view and from an affiliate's point of view in my opinion - maybe I am biased as I've used the system extensively.

I agree re the reporting - it could be more detailed though.
