How can wagering be compliant but promotion abuse? Can someone please explain this one?

The Casino audits cash-ins to determine if winnings are a result of promotion abuse. It is possible for promotion abuse to occur even though wagering is compliant with the standard terms and conditions and bonus system rules. If promotion abuse is identified, then the Casino reserves the right at management’s discretion to take the following action(s) against the abusive player:

A) may be banned from receiving or redeeming further promotions
B) may be banned from play in the casino
B) may have account terminated with immediate effect
C) Player information forwarded to a central database resulting in players being barred from receiving bonuses at any other casinos.
D) Cash-ins may be denied, reversed and/or considered void. In such cases, only original purchase amount may be allowed for withdrawal.

Welcome to 2010 the new standards of ethics from online casinos.

This is going to be the start of all kinds of this kind of policy.

Just another way for online casinos to sabotage affiliates and the industry

"It is possible for promotion abuse to occur even though wagering is compliant with the standard terms and conditions and bonus system rules. "

Any online gaming venue pulling this crap should get instantly rogued!

What can you expect it's another Rival White Label

Cheers

We would like to inform you that this term has been removed. Certain clauses were added to protect the casino from bonus abuse, it appears they were creating a confusion among legitimate players.

Management is reviewing all the appropriate terms to ensure that the overall experience of players is not affected. In the event we discover terms that may seem confusing they will be changed or removed.

If you have any further questions your Affiliate Manager will be able to address them later on today.

Kind Regards,

It is possible for promotion abuse to occur even though wagering is compliant with the standard terms and conditions and bonus system rules.

If a casino offers a bonus with a deposit and the player follows the T&C's associated to that bonus, then it's a done deal.

The fact management would even consider adding a clause like this is deplorable - whether or not the clause has now been removed or not.

Easy solution, don't offer bonuses. Instead give your regular depositors a cash back % each month. Problem solved.

But that's too easy, hey! Besides it removes any possibility/opportunity for the casino to call foul & pull out the old trusty FU clause.

Cheers

I'd really like to see a definitive definition of what "promotion abuse" is.

So far the only explanation I have gotten is that "We know it when we see it." and that is totally unacceptable.

When casinos throw out these undefined terms, it should raise a huge red flag...

When you google "promotion abuse" guess what you see...
Looks to me like someones rogue list...

Hello everyone,

The term has been permanently removed, and you are totally right: it should not have existed at the first place. However, no player got affected by it.

Now, Slots of Fortune is not an old casino, and it started to grow this year. We are happy with the way our projections and targets have been working out for the past 4 months. Slots of Fortune re-launched as a casino and brand just last April, and we admit that there’s a lot of work to be done, and for this reason all of the T&C’s are now being reviewed. If you have any other concerns with our Terms and Conditions, please bring them over for the discussion. We are not trying to hide anything or steal any money from anyone.

Again, there was no intention with that term to harm any legitimate player, and it was a mistake to put such a vague term on our web site. We are truly doing everything to grow as a casino, and as a relatively new one, we appreciate all your expertise in advising us.

Natalie thank you for explaining. I actually like Rival and am trying to find a few good brands to send players too.

As someone fairly new to this industry the past events of the last few months with Rival has definitely been an eye opener.

GamblingGuru,

I am well aware of the thread going on CasinoMeister. Stephen from Slots of Fortune replied there with more details, on only one player who’s complaining.
I will quote only one paragraph from his statement:

“There are issues with the particular account beyond the advantage play that took place. There are discrepancies with the information provided that we are unable to post here. We respect the privacy of all account holders at our casino regardless of their behavior or intentions. If he was interested on resolving this, he should have filed a PAB and we would have presented this information to CM.”
To this date the player has not filed a PAB, so that SoF could present the documents to the Meister with the confidential player information to prove that he was not a legitimate player.

Also, to be honest, there are so many other casinos that have hundreds of players complaining about them, while in our case this is the first player who has a big public dispute with us. I understand that there’s a very big negative vibe, which concerns all the Rival casinos, especially the white labels. And ultimately any new complain about any Rival casino, even the one which did not have any precedents, provokes a huge new scandal. The case of the particular player is complicated, and I looked into his account myself. I used to be a Casino Manager in the past, and I can tell you: there are problems with his account. I am upset that the Security team did not chase the player before, and allowed him to play at our brand. If it was done on time, we would not be having this discussion. Now, as an affiliate manager, I am not 100% happy with the way the player dispute has been handled on Meister and GamblingGrumbles. It is affecting the casio reputation, which is important to all the partners. I spoke to the Casino Manager, and asked him to reveal more information on the player complaint, which he has agreed to, and will do so in a private form, if the concerned player follows the rules of the Meister and files PAB.

I’ll speak to the Security team and Casino Manager today, and I’ll update you on the issue again.

Best regards,

on only one player who’s complaining.

One player too many IMO.

Who now advises CM:
Roguish Slotsoffortune (Rival Casino) steals my money - Page 11 - Casinomeister's Online Casino and Poker Forum

First you pull some funky, clip joint FU clause. When the gaming community slams Slots of Fortune for it, you remove it.

However instead of just paying the player what is owed, you want to keep pulling clip joint stunts.

Just pay the player, simple!

I can't speak of what is going on with the player with the thread at CM, but if it is true this is the only big player complaint .. frankly I'm impressed (being its a Rival which as a general rule of thumb - not this program as I don't know about them) but anyway from an affs POV, certainly deserving of many of the things said about them, most disturbing is the ridiculous bonus banning that went on which was at same time the high rollers were disappearing (I can't remember if the two were intertwined).

From a player's POV, all but less than need be counted on one hand, were taking fire for slow/no pay issues which regardless of it being processor or lack of funds to pay, still make for the same color in the eyes of the player. RED.

I have stopped listing most of the Rivals and since I do actually check out the casinos I list (or at least one in the network) .. now my biggest concern is that I can't seem to win inside the Rival casinos which I have kept listed.

lol. I don't know if its just a bad streak at the one software group but my luck seems about the same everywhere else.

* I have not played nor promoted slotsoffortune, at least to any extent. Just speaking on the Rival brand in general.

** I came in here to see if I thought this program was a worthy one to present to other affs and as much as I agree with Dave in principal with all he has said, : also I am taking into consideration there doesn't seem to be much conflict with the statement about this being the only big player issue with slotsoffortune.

while I also agree even one is too many, in these times (very seriously) if you condemn every program for having only one/two big player issues, it will not be long before you won't have anybody to list.

I don't know what the answer to this question is, but i have been approaching it as if the big issues are kept to a reasonable small number, that the casino is worth risking my money on to back up my guarantee.

Assuming all their other ducks are in a row. Most places if they have problem in one area, especially if that area is players, then they will also have trouble peaking thru the affiliate curtains too.

Hello Everyone,

We tried closing the issue with the player on CasinoMeister, and our Casino Manager emailed to CM. At this moment the player cannot file any PAB, because he has already filed three unsuccessful PABs in the past. We did not try anything unlawful against the player; there were no premeditated actions, as someone was saying on another forum.

On the other hand we are concerned with the fact that the term from our T&C’s was ambiguous and could have been misinterpreted by legitimate players. We removed it. Again, our intention is to stay as an honest casino in this industry, and we are not trying to cause any damage to ourselves or to the partners that promote Slots of Fortune. And yet again, if you see something about Slots of Fortune that your long experience in this industry tells you is incorrect, please tell us. We are truly here to hear the suggestions and make necessary changes for your benefit.

Best regards,
Natalie Stewart.
