Godaddy are fine for domains but I'd steer clear of them for hosting. I'd also avoid GatorHost, for hosting too. Just make sure the hosting server is not oversold. That is, way too mant sites crammed onto a server.

Also try to avoid hosting where adult (porn) sites are accepted. These can produce bad neighbourhoods.

Ultimately, when I go share to get a new C-class IP, I'll request a dedicated IP. This way your not sharing an IP with who knows what site.

For UK hosting Vidahost/TSO Host (same company, slightly different packages) are one of the best I've used - support response via email is (on average) under 10 minutes.

Xilo are good too.

Are these all Wordpress ready, easy to install WP on? Or should I look for something else? At Godaddy they have a one click install, which I like very much. But I keep hearing that if you have multiple websites it is better not to have them on the same account? Is this true? And I mean Google wise ;-)

What I have found is this... If both websites are competing for same subject, Google won't like one person ranking two sites for the same thing (Slots for example). If you are going for SITE A: "Online Slots" and SITE B: "Top Slots Online" as keywords, get a different account not at all connected with your current one.

BUT if your ranking for two different subjects SITE A: "online slots" for one site and SITE B: "blackjack strategies" for the other... You should have no problem allowing them to share an account.

Most are. In fact I've only ever come across one webhost that doesn't have this feature (can't remember who it was, but they installed it for me anyway).

I have 3 sites with Godaddy but all are on separate hosting accounts. I can also tell by performance they are on different servers at Godaddy.
I personally would not purchase a hosting package that allowed multiple sites just to save a little money.

I don't know, is that bad neighborhood still even valid?

It's easier to buy one single VPS, create multiple cpanel accounts and assign each one different IP address.

But be sure to check if they can provide different C class IP's. Especially if you want to make multiple websites targeting the same niche.
