I don't know about you - but especially in the last year or so AGD has been very helpful in our selection of programs to promote. When I see a manager participate here, it means a lot to me. It's a sign that the manager really cares and is looking for ethical affiliates to market their property.

In addition to steering me to good programs, AGD has saved me lots of valuable time and has become my own personal T&C analyzer. Do you have the time to read every T&C at every program you sign up to just to have them close 3 months down the road?

How many of you get letters on a daily basis from Affiliate managers trying to get placement on your website? How many of you are too busy to deal with 80% of them?

I have started doing something that I think will really help AGD. Here is my plan:

When I don't have time for a program which emailed me, I let them know I am willing to work with them if they get vetted at AGD first. Sample letter:
Hi Judit,

We do our best to only go with partners certified with Affiliate Guard Dog. Please make sure your terms are certified and then we will consider participation.

To my knowledge this is free to have done, you just need to get in touch with Andy at: PARTNERS @at@ AFFILIATEGUARDDOG.COM furnish him with your T&C's etc. After this is done, please contact me for getting into our directory.

Best regards,

Now, I just want a Guard Dog icon, gonna rip one off the site here Andy, so I can include AGD logo on my email correspondence. What better way can we show our support and help get programs over here for Andy?

This actually seems MUCH better than seals on websites, which in my opinion although they may help for branding to a small degree, don't do much for getting participation at a site.

Emails with these types of statements to programs actively trying to engage us must be the best type of promoting we could do for AGD. And it doesn't require a link from your site or nothing.... so why not throw some bones to the dogs?

Now Andy, if you don't like this speak up. (I'm a true supporter here, I don't work for AGD) ....

I, of course, have no problem with that. Showing your support is awesome and I really appreciate that.

Let me know what type of icon you would like and I can certainly have it created. The logo in the upper left is simple enough and I have a png file as well as a psd file of that logo.

shoot me an email and let me know. Also - on your prior post, can you obfuscate my email address so that spammers do not pick up on it? ;) I would certainly appreciate that as well - and since there have been huge problems with other forums editing posts, I do not wish to be 'that guy'.

Thanks again!

I noticed from time to time, Rakesh from Lionslots sends affiliate newsletters and asks his affiliates to signup to AGD and GPWA because thats where he can be found. I think thats a great idea.

I do like the idea of being able to know where my affiliates managers are, and like to see what they are conversing about or doing, gives me a greater appreciation for the type of work ethic they have.

I think you should lean on your affiliate managers, and ask them to do the same.
Tell them to get more active on the Affiliate Guard Dog, post announcements about their affiliate program here, their newsletters and new games. And in their next affiliate newsletter, tell their affiliates they can be found on Affiliate Guard Dog! Make sure they signup and get in here.!

This is an excellent idea. I've seen for myself that AGD won't let money or even friendships to interfere with certification.

Keeping programs affiliate friendly here helps me more than I can say. I will be doing this in the future as well.

Thank you guys so much for all of this :) Every little bit of help is such a huge benefit to AGD and the members. We work very hard to make sure everything is transparent, truthful, and not biased by money.

With your help, we can certainly take this to the next level!

For me, it's not all about the money but also what we've got from this forum like learning new things and sharing useful thoughts and idea.

Although I am only a starting affiliate I like the idea and will send the programs I will partner the same request.

As 'consultant' was my old account I can now confirm I am doing this and it works, see for example my post here:

New 'wanna-be' Affiliate - Who/What Should I Join? - Page 2 - Gambling Portal Webmasters Association

And the reaction of Shaun O'Neill here:

New 'wanna-be' Affiliate - Who/What Should I Join? - Page 2 - Gambling Portal Webmasters Association

If we all do that AGD will be the market leader very soon (if it isn't already, don't know).

I have a little affiliate section on my forum
I would love to have a few lines posted to recommend AGD.
Maybe you have a little write up, please pm me,
or maybe you would like to post yourself. Just let me know.

That might be not much what I can help now, but I think all helps , every little thing will count and it adds up.

Regards
Marina
