If you are a casino/ games affiliate or have these features on your site, have you seen a shift in activity?

Here at Betfair we have been looking closely at the activity and trying to see how the World Cup affects other areas of the gambling world?

Have you seen your activity on casino and games go up in the hype of the World Cup or maybe it has gone down?

As Betfair are known for their sports exchange naturally we expected there to be a shift in activity leaning towards sports so we took action early and launched Stadium of Games to see if we could bring the balance back.

Stadium of Games is a selection of casino and arcade games that are free to play and revolve around the World Cup. Depending on players performance in these games will then determine what bonus and prizes they are rewarded – no deposit needed!

Feedback and your thoughts would be appreciated, is the world cup just for sports or can casino and arcade cash in as well?

No discernable difference for us. If anything I would have expected a small drop in activity as people watch the world cup instead of playing games.

Thanks for coming back to me Vladi :)

It is something we're genuinely interested in as this has been the first time we have attempted something on this scale to try and keep a good balance.

Hi Alex,

I run free casino games from one of my sites here in Australia. Just before the commencement of the WC, and including this week, I've seen a larger than usual traffic spike.

Not sure if it's related or not. But with an increase of 400+ unique a day, maybe your theory holds water...

Cheers

Dave
