Hi guys,

New to this forum here. Very noob question for you. We have a small casino affiliate site (WordPress) targeting specific countries. Offering casino reviews etc.

We do not have a US licence so we cannot allow access to our review site from a US IP address, right? The US is blocked on WordPress so they get an “access forbidden” message (we use the countryblocker plugin).

However, this seems to be impacting our indexing. We notice that if we allow US IP to visit the site then google can index the page etc. However, if we block all US IPs then we have issues. Is there a way around this?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for the advice! Thats great, i’ll have a look into it.

re the licence bit, i was under the impression you need a licence in the state in question? We probably need to seek legal advice i guess.

if you are pushing regulated sites, you need a license in some U.S states, but will be unable to push unregulated sites to consumers on the same website.

I think it's more about where your website is hosted? And if you're not targeting specifically the us i don't see any problem here.

As was said before, you can change settings in CF. You can also use some plugins or programs that will direct your traffic wherever you need. For example, landing page for US traffic.
