FYI, apparently Gold Rock Casino is now a Rival powered casino.

Source: Announcing the Launch of Wizard Gaming - A new software provider! - Page 12 - Casinomeister's Online Casino and Poker Forum

If you had an affiliate account with Gold Rock, you can still log in at bestpayaffiliates.com. The new affiliate program (for the Rival version of the casino) is at bestpayaffiliates.net. (Note the .com/.net difference.) You will need to set up a new account to promote the Rival casino.

I wonder why they switched?? I also wonder why nobody was informed about this major change?

I never sent them any traffic because the deposit options for U.S. players weren't very good, so this change won't affect me that much. But for those of you who did send traffic -- I wonder if your players will be mapped over to the new Rival casino? I hope so.

Hmmm... glad I didn't investigate that casino further myself. I am doing Allstar slots (Wizard) and we are doing okay with them .....

I guess we figure out whether to add Gold Rock as a Rival to our sites only if the answer to Engineers question is affirmative (mapping of players to new platform)

so if anyone promoted them and are knowing any details, please tell us

Yes I got an email from them today, I found it also weird that they didn't make an announcement sooner.
I signed up, though I didn't promote them, maybe 1 banner in one of my newsletter's bottom. I didn't like the design they have back then, so common casino design, nothing to stand out of the crowd.

I went with All Star Slots and I am starting to see some conversions there, personally I like the Wizard games, and atm I'm full of Rival casinos :) So I guess I won't promote them in the near future.

Update --

Daniel at Gold Rock / Best Pay Affiliates told me this earlier today:

Until the end of next month your players will be able to play at wizard software and the old affiliate program will still count your comm.
An email with your affiliate link will be sent to all your players.
(they will get $7 bonus for the transfer)

So, if you have players there now, I think what you should do is set up a new Rival affiliate account at bestpayaffiliates.net and then email them so that they will be sure to use your affiliate-tagged link when they contact the players you referred in the past.

I have no players there since I didn't promote them before now, so this doesn't really affect me.

It is also possible that they may set up a new account for you automatically, but to be on the safe side, I would sign up at the .net site and then email them to make sure they will use the appropriate tag when they send the email to your existing players. ;)

That's a tough one when programs switch software entirely. Now, it is up to us to 'believe it or not'. The difficulty here is how we place their truthfulness in the conversion.

I think it would be 'nicer' if they had the following scenario:

Email players from the Wizard Gaming platform. Give them a SECURE (https) place on the casino's website where they can 'recover' their new casino userid and password at the Rival Casino. That userid and password should ALREADY BE CREATED for them (call it user-friendliness... or just good business practice). Additionally - that player should already be tied to the affiliate, and the affiliate should be notified each time a player is converted.

That is just my own thoughts, but I think that this can be a simple thing to accomplish given the Rival backend.

One of the owners Sam called me this am because I was flaming mad about his whole situation. In the end he advised I shut down the old .com and go with only the .net as it was getting too confusing for me. Watch your stats if your using the .com something is wrong and also the banners for the Rival .net don't work. Another case of a rush to launch.

Everyone casino that I can remember, which has changed platforms, has moved their player base and affiliate base across with them.

Maybe they just dont have the player numbers to make it worth while to do an import?

I just saw this, too.

I think Canadians still have a lot of other options left, though (much more than U.S. players do). You still have Microgaming at least....

Ugh... Why? This makes no sense to me why they would limit themselves like this. I would think that US players would be restricted before canadian.

What a bummer.
