GIG "stealing" commission from NL players...?

Last month the difference between my earned commission and the paid commission was exactly the commission generated by NL players.

GIG doesn't pay any more for Dutch traffic from 15 March 2019, which is also in their t&c. That's fine, up to everyone to decide if they send Dutch traffic from 15 March 2019 or not.

But now they also seem to not pay for players that were sent before 15 March 2019. Even commission on players that are playing for years is not paid anymore.

Found out by chance, no one had notified me of this change. They accept NL traffic and NL players can still play there, but they won't pay you for it. Not even all the NL players you have brought to them over the years!

They claim that they have communicated this. Is it true or did they flat out lie about that? Anyone got an email about this?

Extremely disappointed. Always regarded GiG as one of the best, but things are just getting worse and worse and this is move is extremely alarming.

Can confirm all my commission from Dutch players for May 2019 was not paid. It was never communicated and hundreds of players that I brought to them have been stolen.

They are still accepting Dutch players at their casinos, depositing and losing money, but they will not pay the commission, it seems.

Very angry and disappointed with GIG. I have sent them an email asking them for an explanation but so far, no reply.

Everyone that is promoting GIG brands should be aware of this. If pull this stunt in one market, they are likely to do it again in another market.

Meanwhile, they keep pushing their brands in the NL region on their own affiliate sites. This really just looks like an excuse to cut costs and screw their affiliates. If they really worried about a future NL license, surely they would stop accepting NL traffic/players altogether.

Exactly. There is no reason for them to do this, except for greed and a bad moral compass. Pure theft.

Former affiliates, screwing hard working other affiliates.

Classy move, GIG!

It's stealing, indeed. Perhaps an admin could add the word 'stealing' to the topic title?

I think at least someone should add "GiG" in the header so affiliates immediately see what it's about?

Done!

I have changed it from "Commission NL players" to something more descriptive.
Hope it's OK?

This is something that should "rogue" them.

If they don't want to accept NL traffic from affiliates, then they should block NL traffic on all of their affiliate links.. so that affiliate don't bring them any NL traffic. Just saying that they won't pay affiliates for that traffic isn't enough. Add a geo-block to make it certain.

They need to pay affiliates for NL players already referred. Affiliates agreed to the lifetime revenue share of the player. They did not agree to give away players to the casino when they decide that they no longer want to pay for players referred from certain places.

It amazes me at how stupid some of these affiliates program think we are, that we will just bend over and take their BS.. without a second thought.

I would remove the question mark from the topic title.

This is blatant theft by a publicly traded company from affiliates that they were so keen to work with. They even pushed me to give them higher positions in December 2018. I have proof of that.

Not paying affiliates on past NL referrals while still allowing these same NL players to play in your casinos (Rizk, GUTS, Thrills) is a clear breach of an agreement which promised lifetime revenue share.

GIG replied to me, they told me it's a C-level decision, because of "rules they need to follow".

They cannot or do not want to specify which rules they're referring to.

But GIG states not paying commission anymore for an existing NL player base is beneficial for me too.

The whole tone is very indignant.

Could a moderator please remove the question mark in the topic title? Also the "-sign can be removed.

Hi everyone, I understand the commotion all of this is creating. We have had an internal glitch in reporting meaning that payments for players from NL acquired before March 18th were excluded from payments in May. I want to stress the fact that this was due to a human error and that affiliates do not need to worry, you will be paid and there was no decision ever taken not to honour past obligations. Any payments not made are down to an oversight that is being resolved by the finance department.
I also do want to mention that there was a communication on March 14th per email and also posted as a pop up in Income Access and Netrefer of which I’m pasting an excerpt below.
Netherlands Update

As we are always striving to be compliant and fair to our customers we must ask our partners to do the same. Recent events have highlighted the need for a compliance reminder. As you should know, we do not permit any targeting of Dutch residents and we actively expect strict adherence to this rule.

GIG intends to deliver a NL licence application as soon as the application period opens. Dutch authorities have made it clear that all acquisition activity of Dutch customers must cease for us to be eligible.

It is crucial that the following are adhered to when promoting our brands, if these are not followed you will be at risk of having your account suspended:

You cannot target in any manner Dutch customers;

You cannot use or advertise, including through affiliates, on any .nl, or.be domains.

You cannot include Dutch themes;

Your website cannot be translated in Dutch;

You cannot use any Dutch keywords which would improve SEO;

There cannot be mention anywhere that payments from any Dutch payment or bank accounts are accepted, or that you process withdrawals to Dutch bank accounts;

We cannot be mentioned on any site where online casinos that accept Dutch customers are accepted;

THIS LIST IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE - please see the link below for further criteria.

Our terms and condition have been updated to reflect this move and strict adherence is necessary.

We are also required to cease any payments for any new Dutch customers.

GIG will be deploying GIG Comply to scrape the internet and check for offending content on sites that do not comply with our requirements.

We require that all necessary changes are made by the 18th of March or you risk having your account suspended, and further action taken.

I hope this answers your questions and if you still have any, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support(at)gigaffiliates(dot)com!

Hi everyone,

our finance department has now fixed this and payments have been issued (it might take a couple of days for funds to be transferred). If you still think you've been paid incorrectly, please do reach out to us at support(at)gigaffiliates(dot)com.

Best,

I did not agree to delete my (Dutch) reviews. So I indicated that I would take the links out and leave the reviews. I tried to log in today and to my surprise it didn't work anymore. I thought: maybe I forgot my password so I tried to request my password again and got the following message:

Thank You
Your Email Address does not appear to exist in the Database.
Please email us to affiliates(AT)guts.com

Even Mark don't answer my mails anymore. Someone else with this problem? I think they have deleted my affiliate account without saying anything except that they want a NL license and the reviews have to go offline.

I also think that a strange way of working is when they still accept Dutch players but no longer pay the commission to the affiliates. I think it is up to the casino to restrict the Netherlands.
