I have mentioned before that I have been promoting Slots Magic for 6 months and not seen ONE sign-up.
So I got a mate to sign-up through my link and deposit £50, which he did. And lost the lot!

The good news is his sign-up and deposit did track OK... the bad news are the resulting percentages:
(Note: £'s are converted to $ for the reports)

EGO_Oct17.jpg

So that means NGR was only 47% of the amount deposited & lost.
And my commission (40% of NGR) was only 19% of the amount deposited & lost.

They don't seem to publish anywhere on their site exactly what fees and deductions are taken off to arrive at the NGR.
But 53% sounds pretty high to me...

{Edit 22-Oct} I was asked by the operator to point out that my friend did take their 100% welcome bonus and that UK tax was deducted, which effects the final NGR figure.

They told me once they have no fees. Calculation should be deposit minus wins minus bonuses.

Also still waiting their answer about the AU traffic they're sending to another traffic. Sometimes with a brand you've got a bad feeling from the beginning. I've got that with these guys.

Thanks for the report, KK -- very interesting. Nice that it tracked, but geez, why are they taking so much before calculating your earnings?

Also interesting to see your report has a few different columns compared to mine. My columns are:

Hits
Complete Downloads
Sign Ups
Valid Sign Ups
First Deposits Qty
Net Income
Revenue Share
Revenue Override
Revenue Subs
Flat Fee
Affiliate Revenue

(No deposits or withdrawals.) I am going to ask my AM to add those columns this week.

/ derail -- thanks again.

I do have all those columns, but I "photo-shopped" out the columns which weren't relevant so that my image wasn't so wide that the writing became tiny!

The unedited version looks like this:

Well... Martyn said just about all he could say with regards to the Slots Magic >AU players > Casino Max deal.

My instincts tell me, Slots Magic et al is/are pocketing what it should be sharing with affiliates tagged to the AU players.

Footnote:
Besides, who actually owns these tagged players?
It's NOT a CPA deal, where an affiliate is paid a once-off-fee for each depositing player. Instead, it's Revshare... Not unlike a lease/rental agreement per se.

Meaning, if a player stops playing (closes account) or their country of residence bans gambling, I don't think the casino et al has the legal right to sell; trade; lease or in any other means, make money from said player(s), without sharing that with their partner/affiliate.

This would make an interesting test case in the UK small claims court :D

IDK... compared to you VS commission of 3.89%, your making 4.9 x (times) more at Slots Magic... :D

Explains why they are so keen to offer 50% rev share deals and how they can still able to run a business by offering so much!

@AussieDave: Yes, I think they're passing the player database to another casino and getting paid in rev share or CPA for that. Players that were brought by affiliates. They say "hey, sorry, we have to close AU", but they keep on earning. That's why in my opinion casinos should pay a buy-out if they're closing a market. For sure this is happening more. I don't think all that casinos that left AU are just throwing away their database. They keep on using it somehow. I don't know how this juridical exactly is. The thing is to make better contracts. Everything we sign up now, are very one-sided t&c's made by the legal team of the casinos.

@nwalker. Yes, and the most annoying thing is that they're telling lies about it, because I asked about the fees. I find them very pushy, very annoying. Like jewellery sellers on the beach. There's no way how they can pay all those tv ads, booths at conferences, cashbacks, wager free spins with 50% rev share.

this is terrible! thanks for the report KK. We used to push them back in a day, but they always had high bonus cost so we dont really do anything with them these days. And with such NGR dont think they will be getting any exposure any time soon.

Hey Dave, where was this mentioned? i can't see the thread anywhere about this.....
I think he was referring to some of my figures that I posted some time ago... but even I can't find it myself now!

It was the amount of commission received as a % of deposits - which is a pretty meaningless figure in real terms, because it does not take into account of actual GGR.

My more recent analysis of VS commissions is here: https://www.affiliateguarddog.com/community/threads/what-is-this-all-about.11089/#post-83248

@casinonewbie - No it wasn't a post KK made some time ago, at all. The 3.89% WAS originally stated under My Commission, in the above AGD link. However, either KK or someone else edited that post, and changed the figure from 3.89%, to My Commission . . 5.98%

Putting that aside, (lets not sugarcoat horse$hit)...
5.98% is still woefully bad, especially give, KK is supposedly on 40% RevShare.

For the record, I'm not here to bash/flame VS. However, and very briefly. I need to amend the cashback %.

IDK if anything has been tweaked over there, but... on my calculations, the true cashback (on their promoted 25% on all spins), in actually dollars paid (we thought it was 1% - hence why I'm questioning if things have changed), actually works out to be 0.36% and 0.39%.

So really, when you add those lowly figures into the mix (NB - most casino's who have a loyalty program pay a min 1%), it takes the 25% on all spins, and makers a mockery of it. The same can be aligned to affiliate % commissions... nuff said. My final comment on the topic... Well, I'll try really hard to make the following my final comment.

I guess though, they do pay out, and quickly too. Plus they have true "freerolls" etc. As I've commented before, VS is a great casino for low rollers because they don't get jack at other places. However for a player who is not a "low roller", it would seem you (like affiliates) are carrying (supporting) ALL the operational costs (then some) of this casino.

I was asked by the operator to point out that my friend (the Guinea Pig) took their 100% welcome bonus and that UK tax was deducted, which effects the final NGR figure.
So I have just added that info to my original post.

I will try to find out just exactly how much that effects it...

That means 50 bonus, hence +/- 10 bonus costs (20%). Include gaming tax and still there's something deducted. It would be nice if this operator also reacts about the AU-player thing with Casino Max...

I noticed there is no GGR, on my figures it's works out to about 50% net from depsoits... so real rev is probably around 15-25%? however they do have a good conversion rate and pick up decent sized players
