Given MGS no longer accepts bets from Spain, then it's also possible other software may put the kibosh on it too. I personally have no experience with *.pt domains, so I can't give an answer to that. I guess if it was a working web-site which held decent serps then it would be worth a lot more, and give you more chance of selling it. Which, I'm guessing that's what this thread is all about.

Well Spain aint nothing to do with it imo, because this is not a Spanish TLD... anyway geography aside if i was selling it, i would put it on the market place, if i want an appraisal i come here to free for all and ask what you guys think. thanks for the feedback!

It's hard to say. Most appraisal companies wouldn't be able to give you a fair appraisal unless they are familiar with the igaming market and the potential of a country specific domain to rank in the serps for that market.

Not such a silly mistake to make; I live in England but a lot of people think I live in Great Britain, or even the United Kingdom! :p

KK

ye well Spain and Portugal are not alike and i will say no more on this topic, so lets get shit straight - In 1139 - Portugal was born as nation - in 1700 it would be almost a century of war and shit before the USA become a country...

Im not keen on making a patriotic stance, but this shit really bothers me lol.... being confused with a province is really demeaning lol...

Thanks to all that sent me PMs and posted their feedbacks, i really appreciate it guys!

I myself am very geographically challenged.. So I'll stay out of that ^

As for the domain name, the worth imo would depend on the person buying it. You will have a harder time selling it for top dollar due to the small region its exclusive to. If I was in Portugal or marketed to Portugal I would be very interested. But I wouldn't want it to develop for anything outside. IMO geographical second level domains don't do to well outside of their market.

I would guess that it would be worth very little for a few reasons including:

- The .com in the middle. I would expect slots.pt to be more valuable than slots.com.pt.

- It depends on usage of the word "slots" in Portuguese. I have no idea other than a quick Google reveals that there is a native Portuguese term and it isn't slots. Maybe it is used colloquially though. Check Google keyword insights to see if slots is searched much in Portugal.

- There is nothing on the domain as it was only registered a week ago - by you I hope!

Good points Vladi, but there are other terms for slots, but young and english speaking normal casino player will search slots anyday of the week over slots-machines or any other native term... for all intents and purposes there are some stuff we dont have word for, slot machine being one of them, the term "caça-niquel" or any other are Brazilian and a Portuguese fellow will seldom use it.
