In my opinion it is good to have a mixture of the two....just becomes a challenge to work out which ones to change over!!!!!!

I use revshare on large and know casinos and CPA on less know casinos.

There is no right or wrong here, try the different deals or even a mix of CPA and revshare (most casinos offer this)

Rev share all the way.

Problem with CPA's in my eyes is that if the rev share would have out performed the CPA, the affiliate loses money. And if it under performs you'll get kicked off it anyway.

Plus I think I'd cry if I saw £20,000 in revenue from a player that I receive a $100 CPA from...

I second that!
Especially as a small affiliate Rev-Share is much more profitable.

CPA is great for spammers and scammers with no long-term business plan. It also sounds good to novices and new affiliates.

CPA is also great for affiliate managers negotiating for top exposure on sites, with no regard for the fact that the affiliate is going to lose either way. Just like baldidiot wrote above, if the players outperform the CPA then the affiliate has lost income, and if the players underperform the CPA then the program will cancel the agreement or shave players.

Affiliate programs aren't charities, of course it simply doesn't make sense for them to keep CPA agreements that lose money. And CPA agreements that don't lose money for the program would have paid the affiliates more as Rev Share. So CPA is for suckers.

I have to agree that rev share is better in the long run, but you have to take into account other variables, such as your traffic and how well the
website converts before you can say Rev share is better than CPA. Moreover, it depends what kind of gaming your are promoting; bingo, poker, casino, sportsbooks, forex?

There is never a simple answer to this question, but its always great to monitor your commission and see if its worth changing from one model to the other.
