Hi,
I am having a difficult time deciding if I should change my meta description or not for certain pages. Meaning dont know if the CTRs are good in relation to my positions.

Lets create 2 scenarios.
Scenario #1 - there is no adwords.
So if you are position #1, you are position #1 on SERP.
as I understood it (approximations)
Position #1 - CTR about 30-40%
Position #2 - CTR about 20-25%
Position #3 - CTR about 15-20%
Position #4 - CTR about 10%
Position #5 CTR 5-8%
Position #6-10 CTR 2-5%

Do you agree that these should be the approximate CTR. and if your CTR is below for whatever reason according to your position change the meta. If you are above, celebrate.

Now in Scenario #2 we add adwords to the mixed. so if you have position #1 on SERP your position is actually #5 (4 ads above you)

so now.
What is the CTR on position #1 in your opinion?
should it then be that as position #1 becomes position #5 and you can expect a CTR of 5-8%. or should it be much higher?
shit, :(
what are your opinion on position and CTR when adwords is added?
with adwords.
Position #1 - CTR X
Position #2 - CTR X
Position #3 - CTR X
Position #4 - CTR X
Position #5 CTR X
Position #6-10 CTR X

Thanks guys!
would love your inputs

thats if keyword and results are a match.. if its a rare subject then expect less.. now with all the testing google does a lot of top results shown are different.. plus now with mobile and all the ads thrown ontop has lowered the ctr
