So apparently OnlineCasino.com which used to be an online casino is now a portal!, still has my links up all over my site, and probably quite a number of places - so here they feasted on our link juice for years and years and years. Then they made it into a portal, changed the casino name to OnlineCasinoCentral.com! -- what a marketing team!!!

This is blackhat SEO guys, getting our links and tricking us into thinking we are promoting their product and this switching them out. I saw this very thing talked about in Amsterdam at a conference. (blackhat/whitehat SEO) .... these guys are using what the BlackHat SEO guys were preaching.

The portal promotes: Cplanet, affiliateedge, best casino partner, and casino blasters (among others)

Look like the same snow job we got on Golden Casino to me. In addition to this I might point out that they don't promote the rest of the casinoBlasters brands (not even OnlineCasinoCentral... only GoldenPalace) so... if you DO promote blasters, the Traffic to those casinos is probably a black hole. I used to make tons of money from this program. (xx,xxx) a month.... now, just like BCP, its nothing.

This is theft pure and simple, and I move for Casino Blasters/ Best Casino Partner to be rogued.

By the way, I am not - as some are suggesting trying to implicate the people that BCP/CB is promoting -- I have no idea of that. I am talking specifically about

BCP and CB, the two programs we know are connected without a shadow of a doubt are both engaging in the same kind of bait-n-switch tactics. They are being predatory with our traffic.

This is theft pure and simple

It's a dodgy and unethical scam, that's for sure.

Not informing webmasters that onlinecasino.com had changed from a casino venue to a portal, demonstrates the dishonest and scallywag behaviour that earmarks this as a scam!

A very good example of why all aff links should point to a folder on site that is blocked by your robots.txt file. Then within that folder use pages to redirect to the casino. It should be noted most casinos/poker rooms etc..etc use some form of blackhat seo these days.

Another reason why using their generic aff links is a bad idea.

Cheers

This is bait-n-switch and PURE THEFT.... its not a "Scam" which would indicate you had to "fall" for something. This is purely hijacked traffic unless they told us what was going on, and even then its quite debatable.

It's a very good example of a thief.
We do exactly what you are saying Dave but it simply doesn't matter how you have your links if you don't know they changed anything. This thread was to point out theft.

onlinecasinocentral.com

When one of our partner sites chose to transfer one of their domains on March 5th of 2010 we posted a message on the login page of CasinoBlasters notifying all affiliates of this change. Posted March 4th, 2010 – April 16th, 2010:

Note: OnlineCasino.com is now OnlineCasinoCentral.com. Tracking and reporting remain the same as always. If you would like to change your banners, new creatives can be found in the banner farm.

Further to this we conducted a system update so that all tracking links in the form of banner.onlinecasino.com would be redirected to banner.onlinecasinocentral.com. Affiliates were not required to make any changes on their end and all traffic and registrations were credited to the affiliate as always. We’re disappointed that the poster did not confirm this by simply clicking on his own links prior to making these unfounded claims.

As always, we are happy to address any questions and/or concerns sent to us directly at support@casinoblasters.com.

Bait-n-switch is unethical behavior and your group should be rogued. EVEN if you emailed your partners WHICH YOU DID NOT, it is still rogue behavior.

You put a note on your website for a little over a month? That is NOT notification!! The failure to use email, the most accepted form of communication is MORE indication you are rogues and should be blacklisted immediately!!

Not emailing us is a very clear indication that you are not acting in our best interest. In combination with your actions at Best Casino Partner (its a well known fact that you are the same people operating both programs) it should be clear indication to any alert webmaster that your affiliate programs are rogue outfits and that you don't act in the best interest of affiliates and should NOT be trusted!

Anyone who missed the other thread should go here: https:// www. affiliateguarddog. com/forums/wtf-c-planet-links-golden-casino-t3510.html

Can you tell us if the owner of Crazy Slots, Go Casino and Online Vegas are the same owner as Golden Casino? What company owns these brands? If you are our partner you'd let us know, right? OR would you walk us down another blind alley as long as you profit?

I would be interested to know about the questions WCDAdmin has posted as well. I'm not happy to see this type of action going on at all. It is very roguish behavior to take other's traffic and use it to ones benefit without compensation.

Please fill us in on your side from the perspective of both CB and BCP.

Thank you.

While its great that you redirected the affiliate links - I am completely with WCD-Admin - on the fact that you are obligated (morally at least if not contractually) to notify people in writing - not by just posting it on the site for a little while... sending an email to a list you already have is as easy as pie, why not do it? Why squander the trust that was earned?

I'm still interested to know (BCP / CasinoBlasters) why you did not email your partners? Putting a 'note' on your website is predatory, IMO.

Reason it is predatory: Because MOST affiliates do not go to affiliate program backends very often (maybe once a month?). I use Statsremote, so I almost never go to my affiliate program's website.

I'm very close to pushing BCP and CasinoBlasters as predatory... please let me know why I shouldn't.

There will be no acceptable answer to this one. These guys took an operating online casino that affiliates were pointing their links to and turned it into a PORTAL overnight that competes with us. What answer can they give that justifies that? By their own admission they didn't even email affiliates.

How long do they get to be a "certified" program? Also, Best Casino Partner which is the same marketing folks behind Casino Blasters has used a very similar technique with the Golden Casino domain. I move for these two programs to both be sent into the rogue pit.
