Hello Guys,

I am a startup affiliate website and have a question about what is the most important next step to do in terms of SEO... is it casino reviews or casino guides?

I have already set up some casino games guide and a recommended casino toplist.

What are you recommendations? :)

Have a look:

I start with reviews, of the casinos you plan to promote (start with just a manageable handful, and explain why you chose these ones for your players to play at) then move on to a guide. A guide can be unlimited in content. Reviews, you shouldn't have thousands to start... maybe 10 to 30... but if you have to many reviews they can be hard to keep updated. Where guide info usually doesn't require much updating. My 2c

Thanks for your reply RyanWeb... much appreciated! ... Actually this question came to my mind when considering keywords.
Theoretically, casino reviews will not contain as much quality keywords as casino guides and that is my first real concern.

Having sad the above, would you still think the same way if you would like to start getting some impression numbers on search console?

Diversity won't hurt your rankins, your site needs to be a mix of optimized content, and high quality content made for your users. Users should come before Google if you want to convert the traffic that you will rank for. A handful of casino reviews saying these are the casinos we recommend and here are the reasons, Imo doesn't take away from a casino guide, but would enhance it.

I'm not saying 100 reviews and 100 guide type articles. I'm saying maybe 100 guide type articles and 15 or so reviews. I agree that if you have 100 casino reviews they can start to look similar. Each article should be it's own, the more unique the better. But you should tell players why they should play at X casino over Y... you don't have to, but I'm just saying, I don't see it hurting in any way.

Take care to only review the best converting, most trustworthy and affiliate friendly online casinos. You can find out which ones these are by reading through the forum threads.

100 is not enough, especially with all the saturation.. Casino Reviews or guides you will be pitted against old respected sites.. you need to do more than anyone else at a higher quality than whats around whilst also producing unique addictive content "your return visitors will make their way around the site eventually"

Oh correct, 100 is not a finished site.. I'm just talking about a 'good start'.. IMO a website is never finished.. My sites have thousands of pages, by my goal is to keep feeding them new fresh content weekly :)

Also, the name of your website (bestlistcasinos.com) makes me assume you will at least have a small list of the 'best casinos'.. ;)

Just to say that something with the way the site loads (at least for me) is strange - the content appears and then reappears again.

I usually start with minimum casino reviews needed and focus on other areas that will interest the visitors (and me) and later add more casinos to each category needed. although judging by the URL you plan that the site to be build around toplists? In that case it's a bit different and you need to figure which toplists you want to have and gather casinos that suite those.

Yeah I know what you mean.... I will start with the reviews and take your advise... I'll investigate all my current casinos and gather all the information possible in form of a review... I will start with my top rankings casinos and start publishing one by one.

To be honest I have also noted that as well for quite some time now! ... I will be fixing that with my next update! ... will keep you informed so maybe you can try again for me please? :) and yes I will definitely be creating different variants of toplists but I do not want to base my website just on toplists... I want the user to have all the information possible when it comes to online casinos.

Yeah you are perfectly right... there are quite some established sites out there already but I have plans to make (or at least try) this new website one to look out for!... its a tough challenge but I will be trying to make this different at least from a user perspective.... but before all of that.. I need a site that will start generating good traffic so right now I am concentrating in providing the user quality content while trying to generate traffic as fast as possible...however google is not helping because its very sloooowwww in handling crawling and stuff like that!!

The only ones I am familiar with is the RTG flash games. I know NetEnt and others offer them as well but not 100% sure on their format.. They are however implemented using iframes.. Kinda cool, but they don't always load / work so well.

Edit: NVM you basically already have them under 'Try for free' and they look really good :)

Yeah I better use something that I have total control rather then depending on third party stuff! :) .. thanks for your comment :)
