Buffalopartners support internet crime ?

When I select a few lines of text from my sites and do search in Google I find a lot of hacked sites with land pages that advertise Spin Palace, Jackpot city etc.

I have asked BP to stop this affiliate but they do not wish to respond.

What do you think shall I report this to actionfraud.police.uk/ cybercrime department ?

ok the ones you speak of has been around for a while, the new hacked sites possibly hundreds is focusing on dot au domains all with Bufflao Partners sites, they are coming into search the last few days. eg of some of his hacks.

This is not just being done on hacked sites.. Stealing a few lines of text (normally first sentence) can be a big issue. If the site copying ranks above your site then your site has a penalty, and the dup content is seen as original.. Since they are doing it in mass volume it is pretty hard to stop. When they do on free site hosting places those will remove accounts quickly by bringing it to their attention.

One suggestion is bring to it google attention about hacked sites and scrapers directly to matt cutts questions page https://www.google.com/moderator/#15/e=adbf4&t=adbf4.40&v=24 then others voting on it to get some attention.

I do believe affiliate programs should crack down on this as it does hurt other affiliates. Whether the webmaster is buying traffic on these sites or actually hacking themselves it is still not right.

Online casinos and offshore betting is a grey area here in Australia.

There are two independent and outspoken politicians here, who are hell-bent on stopping the flow gambling cash off-shore. If these guys got hold of this info, it would most certainly be brought up in a sitting of Parliament. Then shit would hit the fan.

IMHO there is a line between making money and ensuring that income is obtained through legit means. Making income from "hacked sites" or "spam" IS over-stepping that line. It's why I'm a strong supporter for affiliate programs to run regular compliance checks.

As it is now, only a small % of programs veto new affiliate applications. In this day and age, ALL should be following this practice. And, also conducting spot checks on affiliates too. EG - Igor signs up and adds a website, it looks good, thing is though the domain was registered 2 days previously and expires in 12 months.

Igor has not intention of using the site, instead he's either a hacker or a spammer. The domain now acts as a redirection to the casinos.

This story are all too common these days. And it's honest, hard working affiliates who get shafted by these scum bags.

Was just checking site keyword stats and found these hacked listing in Google AU. That's only what I could grab with a screen cap.

Spot #3 to Spot #10 are the work of this hacker

Buffalo Partners know damn well these are illegally hacked sites and IMHO this affiliate/s personal details SHOULD be given to the proper authorities.

Every time I spot a site hacked on Google AU, I send a mailer to the site owner BUT with sooooo many sites being hacked now, it's a futile effort.

Just because I'm a fair person, I can't expect the WORLD to be fair.

However, myself or other affiliates should not have to lose money because OUR legit rankings are being encroached and violated by illegal activities, namely these "HACKED SITES".

Hi Andrew,

This isn't a few hacked sites, from what I can tell it's literally 100's, if not 1000's. This is a massive internet crime.

Apart from closing these accounts, what does Buffalo Partner intend to do with both these rogue affiliate details? Will this information be handed over to the appropriate authorities, now BP is fully aware of this crime?
