What you said NDG

I do not like the new structure that is a cost saving tool no doubt about that.

I have no option other than to stop giving them exposure as I want the old commission structure back.

What happens to the 3 casinos removed from the group remains a mystery.......but the answer is in the details.....

Hi Inspiration,

I can confirm that your current deal at Buffalo Partners is the same as the agreed deal that you had at Referback.

Thanks,

Andrew

We assume we will only get 25% commission with this group because they have a habit of rolling back so based on that % they will get next to nothing from us. We are earning 35-40% from all other microgaming groups so makes no sense to build a good base of players with Buffalo when that extra 10% can pay the salary of 1-2 people.

Hey Andrew,

Will the earnings from locked accounts from Wagershare program be paid out this month?

Just a few of us wondering how it will be handled.

Thanks for the help!

All of my old Referback links are down. I've checked on some of your (AGD members) websites and it seems that none of them are working!

UPDATE: all link are working normally again !

Beware of the high roller clause with Buffalo. This does result in negative carryover. Thought August would be an excellent month at Buffalo, but it turned out poor again considering the months before and the exposure we provide.

Hi Slots777.

Buffalo Partners does not have negative carryover. Your balance for each month will always start on zero.

The high roller policy only applies to individual players who are affected by this policy, and will never result in your balance starting on a negative.

Our high roller clause works as follows:

High-Roller Policy
7.14 In any given month, if a Customer generates a negative net win of at least $10,000 he/she will be deemed to be, for the purposes of this section, a 'High-Roller'.
7.15 If the aggregate Net Win for the Affiliate, in that month, for a Merchant Brand is negative $2,000 or greater, then the High-Roller policy as set out hereunder, will apply:
7.15.1 The negative Net Win generated by the High-Roller will be carried forward and offset against future Net Win generated by that High-Roller;
7.15.2 The negative balance carried forward cannot be set-off against other Customer's Net Win;
7.15.3 The negative balance carried forward cannot be greater than the total aggregate negative Net Win for the Affiliate, for that month;
7.15.4 The negative balance of a High-Roller will be reduced by future positive Net Win that they generate in subsequent months;
7.15.5 A negative balance will not be increased by future negative Net Win unless the High-Roller meets the qualifying criteria in subsequent months.

Thanks,

Andrew

If I'm reading this correctly, the policy basically says that the affiliate program does not have to pay
affiliates a revenue share on deposits from someone that has won at least $10,000 at their properties,
until that particular player has given back the full amount that they originally won from the casino.

That is a negative carryover that wasn't there before the merger. It seems like this new program is
trying to cut away affiliate advantages when it comes to the "quality players". There is now a negative
carryover for high rollers, and you get a much lower commission percentage for high rollers now
unless you are able to meet a player quota every month that wasn't there before the merger.

Hi,

The high roller policy is not a new term - it was in place for both Referback and Wagershare prior to the merge and has not changed.

Should you have a player that should win $10k or more within one month, and then still have a negative net win at the end of the month, this amount will only be subtracted against that player and no one else in future months. Should that player never play again, the outstanding amount will not be allocated against any of your other players.

Thanks

Andrew

This is correct. Check archive.org if you want to see it yourselves.

I dislike how the casinos call this a "high roller policy". It can be invoked on someone who deposits $20 and wins $10,000. It has nothing to do with high rollers and should be called a "big winner policy".

Aside from that I can see why the programs have such a policy. If that $20 depositor wins $10,000 then loses it all back the next month, the casino is on the hook for $2500+ in commissions on a $20 deposit without that protection.

What I cannot work out from reading those terms is whether the negative $10,000 in the first month is subtracted from positive earnings from your other players in that month. Andrew can you confirm what the negative carryover amount is in this scenario please:

Big winner: -$10,000
Other players: +$5,000
Net: - $5,000
Commission: $0

Is it -$10,000 or -$5,000. Clause 7.15.3 seems to mean that it is -$5000 but I want to know for sure.

Thanks

Hi Vladi,

You're quite right - the amount would be -$5,000.

The amount is subtracted from the positive earnings in the first month.
Big winner: -$10,000
Other players: +$5,000
Net: - $5,000
Commission: $0

FYI: the above amount would leave 5k high rollered against that player which would only come off against that player only in future months.

Thanks

Andrew

Well that's not very nice. The more common thing to do is immediately fence the player at the end of the month so that it doesn't affect the rest of your players in that first month.

Sure high rollers are prone to playing it all back, so the next month could be good, but I still don't think this is the right way to impose a high roller policy.

I agree with you too :)
In this scenario only the HR should be fenced, not every player, which, is affectively what's taken place with Vlad's account :eek:

He should be paid rev share on the $5,000. Otherwise any player who is trapped in this High Roller clause, for any given month, their losses will affect positive + rev share on other players, not fenced into the High Roller clauses...

Buffalo Partners does not have negative carryover.

While BP may not specifically have NCO for non fenced players, what's taken place with the $5K is ludicrous... Simple term, playing affiliates for fools!

Big winner: -$10,000
Other players: +$5,000
Net: - $5,000
Commission: $0

The BIG winner ($10K) gets fenced into the High Roller clause(s). Clearly when a player wins over the amount in the HR clauses, they are instantly HR fenced. It's exactly what happen to my High Roller in August 2014 at Buffalo.

The +$5,000 is other-player-losses, nothing to do with the High Roller. Hence they should not be calculated into the High Roller wins/losses.

Calculating this in the way Buffalo has, (lets bend to rules to suit BP) is wrong!

Well that seems strange for sure.

A cynical person may wonder...

What's next on the agenda for Buffalo? A push toward all affiliates accepting CPA deals, enforced with retrocatively changed terms... Wagershare are skilled at that!
