I think this is correct, have you talked to Richard about it or are you basing it off of the comment at GPWA?

Got it from the email I got... and thanks, Richard, for clarifying.

I was just recently accepted, and needless to say it will make a great deal of difference to which side of the line i am signed on.

What exactly is the date for what is considered a new affiliate?

I think I have about 2 weeks under my belt, maybe 3.

As someone else mentioned, it just isn't financially responsible to put yourself in such a position.

If I know I will never be reduced, then we're good. :)

Hi bb1webs,

If you were accepted prior to June 1st, which it sounds like you were, then you are not subject to the new revenue share structure and the lowest you can ever earn is 25%.

cheers,
Richard

Bodog stats suck in many ways, but I do think they are accurate (what there is of them, lol)

I agree that the stats are mostly useless. They don't even show clicks -- one of THE most basic metrics needed by an online marketer.

I built my own click tracker, which verified my suspicion that conversions are low, but not every webmaster knows how to build a click tracker.

The affiliate program doesn't even keep track of clicks behind the scenes, which is laughable. How can they measure and improve anything if they don't know exactly how well the landing pages convert?

As for the casino software -- it's a mish-mash of a 2 or 3-year-old version of RTG software (they bought the RTG source code 2 or 3 years ago), plus 20 or so low quality slots added a couple of months ago. This is probably why conversions are so bad. Give players a steady stream of new, high-quality slots, and you'll see good conversion and retention. Give players the same old games for 2+ years, then placate their demand for new slots by adding 20 less than desirable, off-brand pieces of crap, like Bodog did a few months ago, and it's no wonder the players don't bother anymore.

My 2 cents.

Not Likely to Use Bodog Now

I am just entering this business and deciding who I want to affiliate with on my sites.

Anyway, I had actually filled out the Bodog application (based almost solely on brand exposure) and was about to click 'send' when I decided to do a little more research, partly because the plan seemed a little paltry and well, onerous in terms of requiring a rolling minimum.

Anyway, after seeing that these issues are in fact due to the recent policy changes, I think I can confirm that I will not be promoting Bodog on my site for wagering.

Do I think Bodog is going to shed a ton of tears over it? No.

But this policy change has lost a prospective affiliate for them.
