The bill originally proposed in October 2019 failed to pass the first reading. It was again passed in January with various amendments.
Under the new legislation, the legal gambling age will be 21. Affiliate marketing will be permitted together with other forms of third party advertising. This was originally not allowed.
Licences for online gambling operators will last five years and will cost UAH 30.7 million (£906,000/€1.0m/$1.1m).
