Hi fellow affiliates. I hope everyone is healthy.

I wrote US facing sportsbooks today asking them to suspend FTD (first time depositor) and minimum active player requirements until October 31, 2020.

It will be impossible to acquire new customers with major sporting events and seasons cancelled. Even if games resume by May or June, affiliates will struggle to meet T&C requirements. The US summer months are notoriously slow.

Remember, many programs will cut commissions or close accounts if new depositors aren't sent every X months. Now's the time for some solidarity.

Feel free to send your Aff manager the following email. I also included support addresses for most US sportsbooks below. I would hate to begin the NFL season at 10% because I couldn't send traffic for March Madness, the Kentucky Derby or NBA playoffs.

-------------------
Please Suspend New Depositor and Player Activity Requirements until October 31, 2020

Dear Affiliate Department and Sportsbook Management,

I respectfully request that all first time depositor (FTD) and minimum active player (MAP) requirements be suspended until October 31, 2020. The recent cancellation of major US sporting events and seasons makes it impossible to satisfy existing program requirements.

Presently, it is anticipated US sports will resume activity in May or June. Even then, it will be extremely difficult for affiliates to meet depositor requirements. The summer months are notoriously slow. Most affiliates rely on customers acquired during the fall and winter months to bet on baseball or horse racing.

Please allow affiliates at least 2 months of the NFL to recoup their traffic and stay afloat. Reducing commissions while sports are on an indefinite hiatus would be grossly unfair. This would punish affiliates for something out of their control and likely put most out of business.

I would be extremely grateful if you allow me and other affiliates this courtesy. In the meantime, I wish you and your staff the best of health during this trying time. Let's all work together to survive what will certainly be a difficult period to come.

Regards,

Concerned Affiliate

This is a fair request. I hope the sportsbook programs listen and allow for some leniency in light of the current situation.

Appreciate your reply and support.

I will update the thread with any responses I get from various affiliate departments. If anyone needs support emails, I can provide them via direct message.

Update March 16, 2020

5Dimes.eu - FTD and MAP requirements not applicable to my commission plan. No changes anticipated. Your plan may be different, contact support.

BookMaker.eu - Management is considering sportsbook-wide adjustments. Currently, player and affiliate withdrawals are limited. Note, they used to pay affiliates weekly on request. This might be curtailed.

No comment from BookMaker on FTD or MAP requirements pending management decision. Will update.

This is a good idea.. but without sporting events, the sportsbooks are going to be struggling.
For now, their revenue is going to come from poker and casino games. If they can't bring in
enough revenue from that.. well, affiliates are normally the first to be thrown under the bus.

Update 3/17/2020

RevenueNetwork (Bovada.lv, Bodog Asia) - Handling on an individual basis. I have been an affiliate for 10+ years. They said they wouldn't adjust my account. Highly suggest emailing them now to get this arranged!

Of course, I realize this could change in the coming days. Most responses have been positive or "We're talking it over with management" so far.

I asked the question with 10Bet earlier, they did not seem interested at all. What a surprise!
I'm going to be making notes of firms that act like arses now and really enjoy telling them to stick it when they come running when I start producing decent traffic again

Update 3/20/2020

CommissionKings.ag (Betonline.ag, SportsBetting.ag) stated they would suspend FTD and MAP requirements "until further notice". When pressed for a definitive response, they stated "Not sure. But rest assured that we are not rushing to change you back. We are aware this situation can be quite a while and will include any buffer time needed."

I recommend reaching out to them personally. If they get enough emails from affiliates, they might be inclined to be more generous and decisive.
