Are CR still stealing our players?

Looks like it's been about a year since anything was posted in here, can anyone update me?

I see the huge "Un-Tagged Cross-Promoting" warning at the top of the forum, but are they STILL doing this?

The reason I ask, is I just recently started playing at one of their casinos after getting an invite by snail-mail...
Since then, EVERY SINGLE DAY I get an e-mail from Casino Rewards promoting one of their other casinos (a different casino each day).
If I clicked on a link in one of those e-mails and opened a new account - would I be tagged to the affiliate of the CR casino I first joined?
Or would my new account be a non-tagged one?

Just trying to find out what the current situation is.

They are still cross promoting via email with without our affiliate ID. So the answer is NO, you will NOT be tagged to the first referrer.

Rewards Affiliates Shaving with Cross Promotion | Rogue Casino Programs

They got debunked for doing that but to be honest they have been doing that since they started and with all the new casinos added, chances a player will remain at the same CR casino are getting slim.

I have had some good months with them but you may not want to know how much they have gained from you by this cross promotion.

I feel it is only fair to correct myself here, as when I investigated in more detail, I discovered that what I said above was wrong.

The daily "spam mails" were coming in on a different e-mail address to the one I used when joining the new casino. In fact they were coming on an e-mail I have never used at ANY of the 14 CR casinos I had previously joined. They were also NOT directly from CR, but from 3rd party marketing people and/or spammers (to be investigated further...)

Furthermore I have found out exactly what CR's marketing policy is, and I have to apologise for using the word "stealing" in the thread title.

It is a complicated scenario because of the huge number of casinos they run, but IMHO I believe it is a fair system for affiliates. They still remain a "risky" program to work with, because unless you are the very first affiliate to refer a new player to one of their many casinos, you may not get tagged to that player if they click a link on your site. But on the flip side, if you ARE the first to refer the player to the group, you probably WILL get tagged to them if they join other casinos in the group, even if they click a link on another affiliate's site.
You can't have it both ways.

Guys your wrong

emails are sent from the CR servers by 3rd parties.

Rewards Affiliates Scam : Players Base Compromized | Rogue Casino Programs

links in those emails will not assign the players to your account even if you are the first referrer.

that is not how the CR program works that is why the cross promotion warning is in place.

Sidenote:
Referback is an united pool : first referrer for all casinos so if you are not the players first referrer you will not get credited.

I'm sorry, but I need to correct myself AGAIN here - I was just very confused by the whole set-up ???

The players are tagged to the LATEST link they click (for THAT casino ONLY), regardless of if they already have accounts at any of the other casinos.
This is actually much better than I previously thought.

If CR are hooking up affiliate tagged players with their own links, and the last referrer gets the sign-up, this is not good for affiliates. Combine the mass CD drops and spam claimed to be sent from their servers, this is even worse for affiliates.

I understand the confusion - I was confused too until I asked a few questions and had it explained in detail.
Any player who joins a casino via an affiliate will NOT get any e-mails from CR enticing them to join any other of their brands. unless the player has been totally inactive for more than 12 months. They WILL get e-mails encouraging them to play at that particular casino.

A player who has signed-up direct to any CR casino without going through an affiliate link, or who has been totally inactive for a year+ at any casino they signed up to via an affiliate WILL get e-mails with non-affiliated links to their other casinos.

From my personal experience, this IS how their system works - and I personally find it reasonable enough to work with them again.
If you don't like it - don't work with them - it's a free world! (unless you live in the USA).

Since we are partners with the casino brands in the Rewards Affiliates Program, shouldn't Casino Rewards Casinos be using retention methods to retain our original players that we sent them, instead of sending out mailers without our unique links in them?

That seems more reasonable to me, that is, if we really are partners with CR's. Otherwise it's theft of our players after 12 months of inactivity. Is this the way you understand it as well?

If this really is the case then maybe I mis-understood it as well when I first listed their brands. That may need to be re-evaluated.

GG & KK they do not wait 12 months to send mailers to our players just a few days after sign up. Those mailers do not have our affiliate ID.
Yeah it is theft but not many are complaining nor do understand it that is why CR can keep on doing this 4ever.

Can you be 100% sure your players are getting un-tagged cross-promotions within days? As I explained earlier in this thread I thought that was what happened to me, but when I looked closer I found the "global" promo mails were going to a different e-mail address than the one I used to open my recent account. In fact, I had been getting those e-mails for many months before I signed-up to the new casino. (They went straight into my spam folder). That e-mail address was the one I had used to sign up to Quatro casino in 2011 - I only played the SUB and never went back.

As I understand it, once a player has signed-up via your link they will get regular mailers for that casino ONLY, and they remain tagged to you.
They carry on getting these mailers for a minimum of 12 months after they become inactive. After that they may get mailers promoting other brands, but to be honest, if the player hasn't been active for a year I think it's pretty unlikely he would sign-up somewhere new anyway.

Look, at the end of the day it's up to each individual affiliate to decide what is acceptable to them.
I don't work for CR and I'm not here to defend them or try to persuade anyone else to work with them - I was just investigating to find out exactly how they operate so I could decide if I wanted to start promoting them again or not (I stopped in Feb 2012).
Taking all things in to consideration (not least the way virtually all the other MG casinos have lost the plot with their bonus terms), I decided to give them another try.
On my head be it!

No idea where you received this information BUT they most certainly DO promote their other brands to tagged players, regardless of time frames. If it's not CD drops then it's the spam; a bit too convenient for RA-CR who claim it's 3'rd party marketing. BUT running a whois or a trace on the domain IP resolves back to the CR servers. In so far as the 12 month caveat, that's the 1'st I've heard of that.

I have investigated a while ago that and it has definitely been done by CR themselves:

Rewards Affiliates Scam : Players Base Compromized | Rogue Casino Programs

I have a lot of players there but their (NO affid tracking links) X promotion emails results in a big chunk eaten from the players base.

For this month I see very little activity, looks like all our tagged players get hoodwinked with new promos that come with those CR spam emails.

It takes just a few days before players receive this spam.

A quote by UKJeff : Yep it is the same info over and over again Renee as your say; but it's the ethics of Rewards Affiliates that cross promote and shave affs that will keep me from not going anywhere near your brands. Just Google "Rewards Affiliates" and see what results appear. I love the trophy Renee in your pic but it does not pay our bills! But please keep your responses open; lets not hide these comments from the search results so everyone can make an honest judgement on Rewards Affiliates, sharing is caring right?

This says it all : they shave affiliates by not adhering to business ethics.

I'm not sure about the promo mailers as I can't test them since I'm in usa and don't receive any but the affiliate id is present if you signup at the any of the partners casinos from the central hub.

xxhttp://www.casinorewards.com/main/index.asp

If I recall the central hub was where you redeemed bonuses/points. Is that how it is presently these days?

I might add I've seen signups for the mobile casinos, which I don't have any direct links to on my site, so they came from somewhere.

That is correct the main hub and the mobile links at the bottom of each of their casinos do track the affiliate ID from the first referrer, the promo / news emails however do not.

Because they put so much of effort into the distribution of these, it is where affiliate lose out big time.

I can't believe this program is not considered rogue. They have done more untagging of players than any other program.
