Hey guys,

Betway approached me with a deal.

Just wondering if anyone is working with them? I saw that they are on the rogue list but is that because you have to send them one NDP a month?

Any one with any experience with them that I should know about?

Would really appreciate at opinions on the subject, good or bad! Thinking of meeting them at LAC but no point if their rep and conversions isn't good.

I have not been able to get ANY traction with them - very few signups - and those players all of very low value.
It is likely that we will cut them from our site shortly after an unsuccessful 4-month trial.

Mind you I am struggling with all second-tier Euro targeting websites (eg. Betsson, MyBet, Globet) so it might be my traffic / approach.
If you have traffic that suits their niche then you may do better - it can work out like that sometimes.

Well, I don't work with them, but here's my thoughts anyway.

On the positive side: Betway are doing a lot of TV advertising right now in the UK, so they are trying to get some traction at least.

However, why bother to promote them?

If their football odds aren't better than, say, BetVictor or Bet365, then why would anyone sign up. If they don't offer more markets or interesting special bets than Paddy Power, then why would anyone sign up.

If they don't have more attractive promotions on horse racing than SkyBet or a better range of markets on more niche sports or offer higher betting limits than Ladbrokes, then why would anyone sign up.

They don't have any of these things - so sports bettors aren't going to be that interested.

Their casino is just the standard Microgaming offering. Nothing special there. In fact, the slots page even mentions the Lord of the Rings slot which was pulled months and months ago - not a good sign.

I don't know anything about poker but I think you get the point: if Betway don't have anything much to offer, then I wouldn't bother working with them.

Hi Marit! :)
My advice is: Stay Away.

Don't know if you know - but they were part of the Palace Group (Wager Share) until a few months ago. I promoted all their brands since I started my website in 2006 (and still do - just).
Under Wager Share the properties were NOT bundled, but since the split I looks like Betway and Gnuf ARE bundled - certainly my commissions reflect that. I sent a message asking about this and they never replied. :(

Wagershare's model of operation is to use expensive TV advertising and spam potential players with totally fake casino sites, like SP Casino & Bet-a-Day, which download Spin Palace and Betway when players click the download link.
See this thread for irrefutable proof: Yet more Palace group SPAM!
They are also obviously trying to pay for the TV stuff by squeezing the deals they offer affiliates IMO.

Even though they've split, I would not be in the slightest bit surprised if Betway operate the same way - maybe even with the same marketing people involved (?)

I'm sort of stuck with them because I do make a little bit of money across the two groups - but I would NEVER sign-up with them today and would have to advise all other potential new affiliates to avoid both of them too.

Hi Marit

I did a post on GPWA about them on Topboss's thread.

For me they aren't too bad earning wise, one of them brands I don't really push but the plod along picking up a few uniques FTD's each month and earn a few hundres quid each month.

They pay on time and now don't have that daft hold your earnings for 6 months if the account is closed

As I said on the other thread it's a shame my AM Paul Torzel left as he was very good.

Hi Marit I have to agree with the others they are part of Wagershare now which is a rogue operation. They will say anything to get your business but trust me they will renege on any deals they make the minute traffic dies down, or you take them off top spots on your sites.

I am stuck with them as well as they hold me hostage to collect the tiny bit I do from older players, once that dwindles down to zero I will be done with them for good.

Thanks, certainly food for thought.
want some more? once upon a time there was a poker room i promoted called gnuf, later on that program was migrated into wagershare.com, and then betway group came into the command of things, and i can tell you i never saw one single of those old players in my account and i never got any satisfying response concerning my issue. i would not touch them with a 5 meter pole...

I would not use KK's 'Barge Pole' to touch them either :) lol - an expression I have heard a couple of times.

Wow... so far only one person who is making any decent money with them. Interesting.

I wasn't sure about them to begin with, as Tryme1 said, all they offer is your standard Microgaming only casino, which are a dime a dozen.

Thanks everyone! Glad I asked :)

In my reason, they stop payments xxxx$ from my old player, because there is not new players in last 3 month from my sites. This is in they t&c((

One more reason, they aff manager told, that BetWay is stop to work with players from Russia, but this country is not in they t&c

I dont like to continue to work with them

I have never worked with them before and don’t have much idea about what they are up to right now. From as much I have heard about them, they badly need some traction and this is the reason why they are busy advertising via a variety of platforms. It’s true that they have not updated their games-related information for a long time. For example, the Lord of the Rings slot is still there, despite that it had closed long back.

I didn't have any luck with them, but this could be because I was promoting them in a Southern European market.

Mate... I wouldn't use KK's, yours or even Viriatu's, let alone my own, to touch this group... If your not indentured to them, do yourself a favour and run away, quickly.
