My Kaspersky subscription is coming up for renewal. Is there something better these days? I sure hate a few of the features on Kaspersky.... would like to know if anyone has some good intel on this ?

Thanks
Bernie

If you have Windows 10 or above, Windows Defender is quite nice. I use AVG on non-Windows 10 and above machines. I used BitDefender previously, but I think it conflicted with something.

Have used just about everything there is, that's considered good and I've come back to AVG. I find it easy to tweak, if needed.

My 2015 license is almost up but I think I paid around $50US for a year.

I'm using avast, it used to be decent but now its a little bloated.
I like to check out review labs like pc mag that actually test things vs. some blog.

I used malware bytes when my back hard drive was crapping out last month. Took about 18 hours to do a full scan, no viruses found.

I've been using NOD32 for something like 10 years -- never had a problem.

Engineer, you still happy/using this?

Are you using the ESET Smart Security Premium, the ESET Smart Security or just the NOD32?

My Avast expires in a couple weeks and I want to change to something else.

Anyone else switch or have any new recommendations?

I liked Avast, but that was until it failed to pick up on a couple of viruses, which then ended with me having to do a fresh OS install. Not happy. Been with AVG since. That's now a lot quicker, and has lot of nice additions.
