Man.... can this site just beat me out for every term or what??? Great job and I don't recall whose site this is, but fantastic SEO and SE presence. Whatever I do I am listed behind this one :)

There is another that's creeping up as well, SlotsUniverse. Soon I will have to damn that one too :)

Good work guys!!!! Wish i had those SEO skills.

.

Thank you for the compliment Guard Dog ;D

I think I have mentioned before that I do not focus on SEO at all as I don't know much about it.

I just write articles on a daily basis. Usually quite short posts compared to other sites.

Same here. I have never even attempted to do SEO as I would just a tiny fish in a HUGE pool of sharks.

But I still get lots of top 10 positions for key search words. ;)

To keep things in perspective the site has good links in, it is not so "much" the content.

Just saying.

That may be the case, but I haven't checked as I do not care about links.

The only quality links I have "created" are the one being used in my profile here on AGD and a signature link over at Casinomeister.

This is interesting, I have also noticed this site. Their pages appears even in Swedish results, even though the site is in English. This site is just everywhere. I guess it's time to have a look at their link building.

Most of their links, like 99%, are signature links from casinomeister. Kinda surprised.

my back links for CM were not showing up in Google WMT so I had to pm CM and then they appeared. I don't know if they changed something or what.
maybe I should stop with SEO, any changes I make it gets worse (in Google) where a couple of years ago it always helped. The changes do help with Bing though.

my site is just too old now I guess.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your site. It's rich in content and not forgetting aged too. There are just some really funky serps coming up in Google. A few years back everyone had their niches and ranked well, also caught some serps in other non targeted areas with long-tails. What's changed now is the competition. Every man and his dog has jumped on the casino affiliate wagon and, as a result a % of webmasters are using blackhat and other ways to game the Google alogs.

Pretty much from day one, forums such as AGD et al frown on blackhat and rightly so. Newbies are told the same thing. Back when the competition wasn't like is today, everyone got their piece of pie. Because imo, 99% of webmasters respected this-code-of-ethics and didn't use blackhat. Things have dramatically changed though. And while we continue to honour this "code" others and a lot of them are using whatever means they can to rank.

I've said it before but I'll say it again, the rules applied to mainstream sites in relation to Google best practices and what Cutts keeps saying, just don't seem to apply to the online gaming sector. If they did, then these sites using blackhat wouldn't be in top serps, across multiple niches.

I used to be of the belief blackhat was a short term gain and eventually Google would smack you for it. But watching sites who are clearly gaming the Google alog with blackhat et al, I'm not seeing Google kick them back into the stone age. If anything, I just keep seeing them rank higher and higher up the chain. To me that's a concern.

That's because what Cutts says is almost completely BS. You just don't see it in less profitable niches, because it's obviously not worth it.
