Hello,

I've been an affiliate for 15 years and worked with Bovada for just as long.

Just recently, I have been noticing some funny stuff happening with my affiliate sheets. Every month at the end of the month, my total deposits suddenly started dropping along with my commissions.

It started in August when I had 10K in commissions and like 30K in deposits (when I checked on the 20th). Then, at the end of the month, it suddenly dropped to 2K in commissions and 7K in deposits at the end of the month.

I wasn't 100% until it happened again in September. I took screenshots and they said it was possible fraudulent player. So, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and I paid even closer attention in October, where I took more detailed screenshots:

On 10/17, I had (roughly):
-8K in depoists from players.
-2K in commissions
-61K in total handle (action)

So, I took a screenshot of my players report.

I checked again, on the 24th.

On 10/17, I had:
-12K in deposits.
-3K in commissions
-85K in total handle (action)

At the end of the month, my final numbers were.
-2.4K in deposits
-$600 in commissions
-24K in total handle (action)

So, I compared the players report from shots I took earlier in the month and compared to the EOM. Then, I noticed one of my biggest, longtime players was GONE. This is a player that has been playing for well over a year and hand thousands of dollars in deposits per month (he's still on the previous months reports when I run them)

I went from over 5-10K in commissions per month regularly to now just getting a few hundred dollars starting in August.

And, at the end of the month, my numbers would just change. Like I said, I contacted them at the end of last month and they suggested possible player fraud that could have caused this.

But, there's no possible way this player just started making fraudulent transactions all of a sudden. This was a long time player who is on my sheet dating back 3 years. I know he was a bitcoin depositor too.

I contacted them again as they don't have a phone number. I am waiting for a response. But, now I am really concerned that they they just don't want to pay me anymore and are just removing big players from my sheet (and just saying it was fraud even though it's not the least bit logical)

If you guys can offer any help that would be appreciated.

Will keep you updated.

This is why I'm not a fan of revshare in general. All in all its a difficult spot, and I don't really know what else to do than hope for the best and/or be clear about not sending any more traffic their way until there's something transparent. We really have no means of doublechecking the typical claims for lost VIP traffic; self exclusion or fraud.

Update #1:

I've received a phone call today from a good affiliate manager at Betting Partners. She was helpful; and it seems like she's wants to clear this up the right way. I am hoping she does (and I can eventually go back to promoting B.P. with confidence).

She was having problems with her system while on the phone. I am waiting for her to follow up with me. Hopefully it will get cleared up and I will be paid for the missing action.

She said it was an extremely rare situation & that my biggest player was disabling his account at the very end of the month & then re-enabling to start playing again.

She mentioned that I was given an adjustment (the last two months) & and that emails were sent to me about it. However, there was no adjustment on my account & I didn't receive those payments; nor the emails. I am waiting for her follow up.

Hopefully they resolve this and that I am paid properly for the action from this player.

I will report back. Just wanted to keep this thread updated.

I completely understand your feelings. Some programs even show when players were "locked". It always hurts to see such a player disappear. But it's not always fraud.
You just cannot expect someone to play for the rest of your live and lose money every month. Look at your hobbies. Are they still the same as 3 or 10 years ago? Do you still go to the same restaurants as 3 or 10 years ago?
People stop gambling for various reasons. Maybe that player just found a girlfriend and has now better things to do. Or his credit card was blocked. Or he switched to another casino. There are plenty of possible reasons. Be happy that you had a highroller for 3 years if it turns out that he stopped playing.

That's not what happened here. The player didn't leave nor was it fraud. I don't think you read my situation and story properly.

I've been an affiliate for 15 years. You should read what I wrote carefully before speculating about what might have happened; as neither fraud nor a player going dry makes logical sense (based on my situation). I am actually owed commissions.

The player's action was only missing from my end of the month final reports. The player WAS PLAYING & his action was there when checking throughout the month. Then, his action for the next month would appear during the month, but at the end of the month when the final report came, his action would be gone again.

As I said, in my other reply, the player was calling to disable his account at the very end of the month. Then, he would re-enable it a few days in to the next month so that he could play again. He must have been doing it as some sort of personal budgetary measure to prevent himself from over-betting (or he thought he quit and came back). Him doing this was causing his action to not show on the final month's report every month.

The affiliate manager at Betting Partners said I was supposed to be given an adjustment due to his action was missing from the last three months final reports. I am waiting for her follow up so that I can receive these commissions that I am owed.

Hopefully she'll actually resolve this and I will be paid.

I would like to continue promoting them as I'm working on new affiliate sites.

Anyway.....I will report back when I get more. Just wanted to keep this thread updated.

Seems like a bug in their system then.
When a player plays from 1st to 20th of the month and then self-excludes himself on the 21st, you should still get the commissoin for the first 20 days of the month. So it's good that you contacted them.

I didn't know that's what happened until I talked to her.

She told me that it never happens that a player self excludes like that and then returns. I thought that was strange.

Hoping I see my commissions for the last three months. It's a significant amount.

Thanks for explaining this. It does sound like a bug in their system. When he excludes / deactivates, his previous action for the month should still show on your stats. It suggests that any player deactivating is having their stats wiped from the affiliate system for the month - that is not a rare situation, because players will deactivate. So it may be a bug that affects all affiliates with players who deactivate. The only rare thing is that he then activates again and keeps repeating the process. Hence you found the bug.

The good thing is that Best Partners / Bovada is an excellent program, one of the very best. They are honest, helpful and very trustworthy. I base that on many years of promoting them. They always solve issues. If I were you I'd keep promoting them hard, no need to delay. If they have promised to pay you the sums missing, they will.

Betting Partners: I have sent almost 200 players over the years but only one or two are active every month. Also, I send them hundreds of clicks a month and I'll be lucky to get one sign up. They are by far the worst performing affiliate of the bunch.

There is nothing to protect us from getting skimmed every month. We just have to take their word. And with more and more individual states now offering sports betting, perhaps that is incentive enough for these U.S. facing affiliates to grab what they can before it starts drying up.

I have seen many shady dealing from affiliates over the years. They hold all the cards

Ya I wouldn’t worry about it, you’re just getting ripped off. I had a number of players (big players - long term players) ‘removed’ from my account- until i learned my lesson.

The last straw was when an affiliate manager told me a player had closed his account because of a 500.00 bet he thought he should have won. This player lost 20-30k a month and they were bitching over 500.00 bucks. - all BS

I’m sure the player is still playing and making them lots of cash.

If something smells fishy it's fishy - for those who remember fortune affiliates

PS - "having problems with her system while" - is 100% BS - at the exact time you need answers the AM computer is on the fritz

But what is good alternative for Revenue Share from your point of view?

Thanks

CPA. Problem is that its situational whether you can even get such a deal and with favorable terms, but I would personally aim for a long term solution of being a CPA-only affiliate. There's always the possibility of getting some traffic skimmed, no matter what the deal, but CPA honestly seems more steady than getting a VIP revshare customer once every blue moon who disappears just as fast as they came.

Hi guys!

Has this situation been solved for you? We've been working with them for a very long time. It's interesting, very good months vs awful months in a row, almost like a cosmic balance:D

Rev share used to be the best kind of commission (for good value traffic), but recently the meaning of the term has suffered some changes, fees being added and all. We'd go for hybrid if possible, to ensure a fair payment for the new depositors we're bringing, while still getting value from consistent players.

Cheers,
Lucy

I got an email back yesterday afternoon.

Update #1: Credit/Adjustment Added & Payment Next Month

She added a significant credit to my account for the two months his action was missing from my reports. So, I am happy about this.

I wont see the payment until December 15th (with November payments) as she said they already began processing of October's payments.

She told me that after the player had emptied his account, he was calling to redeposit and then requesting a bonus. If they didn't offer one, he would deactivate. But, would still come back, reactivate, and deposit anyway. She said this was an extremely rare occurrence. But, it still seems like a bug that should be looked at if the deactivation was resulting in his data being removed from the EOM report. She said they were planning upgrades to their system at the EOY which should resolve this issue.

I was under the impression that Bovada offered reload bonuses. With all the competition in the states now, you would think it would be prudent to offer a big/consistent player a reload bonus (with required rollover) to keep him happy. I asked about it and she stated that it depends on the player.

Anyway, I am indeed happy that they resolved the issue and they deserve respect for this.

Will update this thread with any further developments.

I am currently having the same issues with them.

1. I’ve been waiting for a bitcoin deposit for 3 days after they said it was sent.

2. my totals since they switched the platform aren’t being added at all.

There's several Best Partners affiliates waiting for payments still. Even though the email sent said "24 hours" its taken a few days. A few people received theirs today, so keep an eye out. Several of us haven't though yet, so I wouldn't be alarmed, I think its just working out kinks in the new systems.

Same with #2, the new system is still a work in progress. They could have done a much better roll out of the new system, but none the less they are hard at work on it. A few affiliates much bigger fish than me have direct connections with BP and are providing updates.
