Affiliate Programs Cross Marketing Schemes

Count this as a introductory thread if permissible, in response to,

End of the whitelabel dicussion in this thread, period. Anyone who wants to discuss Fortune and it's white labels, start a new thread.

Maybe worth exploring the nasty little secrete, if again, permissible. If its' all good this thread we likely go in many different directions spanning over the last ten years. Sad but enlightening surrendering knowledge that will comfort our suspicious minds.

It will answer the questions. So I will leave it to the mods here if we can proceed?

Hi All,

I have read about cross-marketing many times, however when it came up at several boards I never was related to those programs at that time. So i didn't make much attention to this, however when growing and signing up to more programs, it is now good to know what excacly means cross-marketing and which programs do this and do harm to our business? Is there anyone who can excacly tell me what cross-marketing is in a positive way and negative way so I understand how to reconize this?

thanks

Cross-marketing in a positive way: This is what CWC does. They cross market to their players but anyone who signs up at a new casino gets tagged to the affiliate that originally referred them.

Cross-marketing in a negative way: This is where the casino gets players originally referred by affiliates to sign up at new casinos within the group, but doesn't tag the player back to the affiliate.

Yes, I see.
I have on my site 3 of 4 CWC brands. For the 4th casino I have some signups and 2 new depositors this month.
Effect of coss-marketing.

Cross Marketing is a way of life in this business unfortunately there are not many programs that do the right thing and tag the players to the original referring affiliate. I am a believer in calling the cheaters out when they do this to affiliates so if you get a case and it is proven cross marketing I say bring it to light!

I agree.

I do know that CWC does not cheat at this, nor does 400 aff. At 400 aff the cross promotions are very well documented in the stats.

Hi All,

Although I checked my research and cross referenced the data I posted, there are certain aspects that can not be substantiated. And although there are posts to forums about Cpays, Euro Partners ect...ect and other issues regarding cross marketing, these have been made in affect anonymously.

Because of this and to avoid any issues relating to AGD being indirectly involved (as it is posted to a public forum), I have decided for now to delete my post.

In addition I have a silent partner in Raw Funk Games. He's been contacted and it's possible that he could be brought into this issue, even though it is myself who has posted this information.

At this point, both my silent partner and I are going to have a teleconference with FL regarding the issues I've posted.

Depending on what transpires in that meeting and what information we are given to substantiate the issues I have raised in my post, will govern what my next move is, if there is one.

So for now, I have decide to remove my post.

Cheers

:)

Dave

IMO you have it Dave. This syphoning of affiliate referrals has never let up and it is becoming worse. How many have had referrals just vanish, I assume most. Some programs who cross promote take matters a step further. The player is tagged to the program or some other heavy weight affiliate.

Programs are always looking for new and creative ways to cut you out, despite the hard work. And this is one method they use the so called Cross Market strategy. But not an honest approach for some.

Another is the referral exchange list. This happens when cozy AM's decide to exchange player data.

I too can verify the message Dave is conveying. I firmly believe as I always have we are constantly being cheated. And you know it is about time we start doing something.

Cross Marketing

Hi there

I have been a client of AffEurope for close to a year and they do cross marketing and are effective at it.

Also, their retention is commendable, as on average I gross over a $1000 a month without having brought a new player for at least 3 months.

Does anyone have this experience with a different brand?

Regards

:)
