Hello!

Let me start off by saying I've been reading the posts on this forum and have learned a lot and it seems like a great community who look out for each other, so that pushed me into joining as a member.

I have been an affiliate of various programs (mostly adult) for over 10 years, but the casino related programs are totally new to me, so I'm just learning about things like negative balances, country specific regulations, etc.

I decided to try the sub niche of lottery because it seemed (to me at least) to be fairly easy to promote. I figured offline promotion would be best to bring in local players, as I have a lot of connections in the local community. I also figured it would be fun to promote the excitement of it all...winning a jackpot!

Since I like building websites I started putting together a lotto site and had a blast doing it, but here's where I ran into problems. I started researching on the best lotto affiliate program to join and, after hours of reading, I determined that LottoElite and TheLotter seemed to be the best for me, so I emailed both with a few questions before going forward.....and then I waited....and waited.

So, after several days I never received a reply from either one, which made me think I either seem too "green" for them, or they are having issues. Upon further research, it seems that LottoElite hasn't been paying some of their affiliates lately, so maybe they don't want anymore affiliates.

My questions to the community here are:

Is it normal for them to ignore potential affiliates?
Which "good" lotto program accepts newbies?
Any overall advice for how to best promote it?

I'm looking forward to learning a lot here.

Thanks!

Yes. Even if you make a deal at a conference sometimes, even if you're having a serious website. Another problem is that in lottery nice you'll find more dodgy programs than legit ones.

Which "good" lotto program accepts newbies?
The Lotter, however conversion is less than it was and however lottery players are supposed to be loyal, income remains a bit stabile instead of increasing. The product is also for years the same now. It's not improving. They still pretend they actually buy the tickets. They do not add new lotteries or games, they are still unlicensed, etc. It's a bit the sleeping giant. Perhaps they can go for a revival if lottery is banned or outlawed in most regulated markets.

Jackpot.com is doing well. They're offering more games, which is a good thing for your income. With 20% of € 10 tickets you really need a bunch of players to make some income. It's more interesting if a part of them is going to play other games too. The lottery site needs to convert them into that. It makes - in my opinion - no sense to promote a lottery and send them to some casino website with mainly slots and some cheap lotto game.

Any overall advice for how to best promote it?
I would not mix it with slots, casino or live casino. I would stay away from Lotto Elite. A lot of affiliates are complaining them.

Interesting times ahead for the lottery niche. In the UK they're facing a tougher rules. State -owned lotteries have influence in other regulated markets, hence it will be difficult for this nice to get a feet on the ground.

So I decided to go with Multilotto, but they have the most bare bones affiliate area I've ever seen in my 10 years working online. There are no custom deep links, which are crucial for conversions, no click tracking, no real useful tools, no resource material, no nothing....just a basic affiliate link that points to the homepage and that's it.

I tried to create my own deep links, but I have no idea if they actually work, as it doesn't show clicks in the affiliate backend, so until I get an FTD I'm just guessing.

The support is good though, as they got back to me initially within 24 hours and had me approved within another few hours. I just wish there was a more robust backend.

I'm excited to go forward, but I'm not quite ready yet.

I may try TheLotter. What is their affiliate area like? Are there lots of good tools to use?

The Lotter has all the tools you need, however I find their affiliate area a bit unorganized. But everything is there.

Personally... I'd suggest kicking lotto to the curb, and instead, find a niche within casinos. I've been in this gig for 18 years, and I've never, ever known, any affiliate to make a killing in the lotto niche. Seems like your investing a lot of time and effort into this, so why not put the effort into a niche which will give you a far better ROI ;)

Ok, I'll try them. Have you ever had any issues getting paid by them?

I never had any issues with their payments, always on time. Also their affiliate managers always have been correct to me.

Just conversion is lower than for example with Jackpot.com. The Lotter is relatively saturated. What bothers me a bit, is that the revenue on existing players remains a bit the same. Should expect that it increases month by month. They have just lotteries, no other products.

I do not spend very much energy on my lottery site anymore. It's more maintaining. Lottery niche peaks when Powerball jackpot is extremely high or when there's publicity about the Christmas lotteries in Spain. Rest of the year people stuck with their own lotteries around the corner. Up to the lottery sites to keep them buying.

Another big plus is that winners do not bother. It doesn't happen that a nice commission is trashed the last day by some winner. Like at some casino programs happens every month.

Your point is valid, but I have several reasons why that route does not work for me.

- I had a casino site years ago and did poorly because I'm not a gambler and don't understand the niche well enough.
- I like the fun of playing the lotto and find it easier to promote locally where it's hugely popular.
- I prefer a more stable, steady (even lower) revenue stream without, as "Biti" said above, a huge winner trashing my commissions so often.
- I'm semi-retired with all my major expenses covered, so I'm looking for more of a side project. Making a killing isn't my goal.

I may change my mind, but for now my other sites bring in the money and this will be my experiment for a few weeks.

Hi guys!

I just wanted to say that in lotto niche RevShare is from purchase amount not on casino profit. And this it the main difference.

We also think about adding a new games to our project, but reject this idea, because it will makes your earning less!

With lottery you can be sure that you will receive all earning in a full amount. And when user wins - it's great, because he playe more and more!

For example, our retantion is more that a year. Players spending a little bit, but regular.

Lottery niche peaks when Powerball jackpot is extremely high or when there's publicity about the Christmas lotteries in Spain. Rest of the year people stuck with their own lotteries around the corner. Up to the lottery sites to keep them buying.

I want to disagree! If we talking about many countries in Asia, Africa and even Europe, start Powerball jackpot is more than any prize of it's local games. So interest is permanent. I can confirm you!

Excuse me.. How is this off topic? The topic was about our outdated BO lacking qualities, so I informed that there will be a new BO integrated. Please see quote below.

Sorry to say, but this is completely bs and just some sales talk I guess. A Powerball of 50 mio doesn't generate any attention, a Powerball of 1 bn + does. It simply peaks when there's fuss about it. If not, it's up to retention.

It is not offtopic at all as it's a reaction on the first post. The fact that Lottery Partner owns some white label looking lottery website, doesn't mean they own threads about lotteries.

Good to hear that Multilotto will improve their backend. I will be more than happy to promote Multilotto, as I look for some additional brands near The Lotter and Jackpot.

Dear Biti,

1B Jackpot can be once in lifetime, but sales in this niche are growing in any project. If we talk about insurance model such projects can set the value that they want, but they didn't and the sales are good even if the Jackpot is 100M.

Also it depends on marketing activity of the brand. If brand that you promoting sending emails only when the Jackpot is VERY big you will loose a good commissions...

So you decide!

Anyway, thank you for your opinion.

Of cause, but that thread was not about lottery niche. That's why we are asking to remove it.

@Biti why are you so unfriendly to us? ;) We are trying to make lotto niche more cleared for understanding for all new partners and don't making propaganda of Lottery Partner here.

We are giving our time for free and no one of lotto affiliate programs doing the same here! Anyone can send us a public question and we will try to answer as soon as possible.

Nothing personal, but why you always talking that we are worse than others? Did you try to collaborate with us? :) Please write me in PM your login in our program and I will review your account and we can discuss why our cooperation was unsuccessful.

Have a good day!

TS talks about Multilotto, so a reply of them to that question is not offtopic. It's useful.

You are not giving your time for free, your presence here is because of commercial interests. Just name things like they are. If I remember well, I've asked a question about buying the tickets, but you ducked it. That isn't very transparant.

I just say it looks like a white label. Jackpot.com, Lotter, Lottoland, Multilotto those are the big names with the better products in this niche.

I do understand programs want to be in touch with lottery webmasters, but most webmasters know what works best on their website.

If site A has more languages than site B, more lotteries, better prices, more games, a better looking website, it's quite logical that it will work better.

Big difference between lotteries and casinos is also the number of brands on a website. On casino websites you'll find 10, 20, 50, 100 or even more brands on one website. In lottery not.

Do you really want to state here that awareness for lotteries is on the same level when the jackpot is 50M as when it is 1B? Your insurance can set the jackpot on 1B, but I guess it won't get the attention that Powerball gets.

Did I say they do not do anything when the jackpot is not 1B? I don't think so.
