888 wants to reduce our deal due to taxes in Austria

Hi all,
We've been contacted by 888 telling us they have to pay gaming taxes in Austria, which are 40%..
therefore they are likely to reduce our deal in one of our websites which targets austria.

have any of you been told the same? or heard any news on the matter?

its important to add that none of our other partners have raised the issue.

I agree with KK but won't other programs just take extra deductions though because of the 40% tax? Like they did for the UK POC tax. Maybe 888 are just reducing the rev share instead? Or are 888 doing both?

Agreed - most programs will just treat specific countries taxes as a deduction off the gross profit - and payout the percentage agreed on the net profit.
So you would not expect any deal to need renegotiating.

Unless of course you have a deal based on the gross profit ?

We have a cpa deal , the turth is they were doing very well for us though we only added them about 2 month ago.
still we have decided not to accept any deduction from our current deal, there are plenty of alternatives out there.

Ah - then yes - they will make 40% less net profit from each Austrian customer - and will want the CPA to reflect profits.
This would be a natural reaction if you had an Austrian facing site.
