We are now 3 weeks in. While I *AM* developing some major changes, I do want to add another thread where everyone can complain about what they do NOT like about this forum system :)

thanks again.

Sorry to moan Andy, but I'm still struggling to get used to the new look.
It's not too bad and I can live with it, but I would like to see a clearer definition between each post (as in each post in a black box, like with vBulletin).
I also think the font is a point or 2 too big.

One problem I found this week was when I tried to attach a screenshot to a post.
It attached OK, but only appeared as a thumbnail in the footer. I wanted it to appear full-size in the post.
I couldn't see an "insert attachment" icon anywhere (little paper-clip in vBulletin) - so I had to manually insert it as an imported image.
Am I missing something - or is the new software missing something?

Cheers,
KK

Personally, I love it :D

Maybe my new 27" monitor (http://www.lg.com/au/it-monitors/lg-27EA83 - thanks to 32Red) makes AGD big and fresh. I find posts easier to read (black type of white bg) and I like the multi-quote option too, it's simple to use. Albeit the transition from being accustomed to vBulletin for years was, a bit of learning curve but nothing which, imo, was drastic. All in all, I think changing platform was an excellent choice!

Still getting used to it, but then again I'm one of those grumpy gits that doesn't like change (I groan every time joomla updates to a complete new version).

The 'Todays Posts' link on the homepage still isn't working by the way!

I alternated the style of each post, so it should be a very clear definition between posts. No?

Font is bigger, but scales to resoultion as I recall.

I've not had any issues inserting graphics into posts.. Just upload the image, then you have the 'attached files' below where you can click either thumbnail or full image to insert into post. it is actually a lot nicer then vBulletin, IMO.

Sweet! Definitely a learning curve. I'm learning myself, but enjoying the immediate posting instead of waiting 10-30 seconds like before :)

I love it too & noone bought me a new monitor :(

:)

The homepage is being re-written. I will try to get that link working, though.

No. They all look the same to me!
What exactly do you mean by "Alternating styles"?

Re Images: I didn't spot the "insert image" button - my mistake!

Do you not see the posts like this? (I made it a thumbnail so it wouldn't interfere with the flow)

I really like it.
The best imo; AGD forum is loading now so much faster than before on VBulletin.

It depends upon the day, actually. We have had more posts and less posts per day. Overall, it seems about the same. I will say that I am working on a major revision that will somewhat bring us back to the old ways. There will be a 'forum homepage' which will show recent posts in a box like before. Might help a little. There will also be some 'tabs' to help you get to stuff easier like the 'basic forums' (you know, the search engine, casino free for all, the basics).. and then the 'certified programs', 'rogue programs', and such.

It should integrate rather nicely.

Also - I'll be getting rid of the 'baby blue' that people have been razzing me about, lol. Sorry if you enjoy the blue. I may create multiple templates to allow people to switch their color scheme as well... but that is up in the air.

Enough about that... for your question, I think it is about the same.

I think that well help.. It felt easier to keep up with new postings with that box. No matter what changes you make, its going to be hard to make everyone happy :) But more important then looks, this forum often provides real value to affiliates! So thank you for continually working to try and improve it (even if not every change is loved be all of us)!

I like the color scheme and the layout is cleaner. I'll have to see over time but the search seems better, never liked the forum search capabilities vbulletin.

Well it does NOW - but I'm sure it wasn't like that last week.
Either that, or I'm even more senile than I though! o_O

BTW, Tried to "multi quote" your post and online18's - but it didn't work - I only got his post in "quotes" and not yours at all.

@online18: I though it seemed MUCH busier now! I now always click on "Recent Posts" as it seem to produce a better list IMO.

Strange.. I can multi-quote quite easily - it's one of the nicest features of the forum, IMO. Just click 'quote' on each user.. it adds it to the list. Then click 'insert quotes'. You have the option at that point to remove some of them, but typically you won't. Insert them at that point with a simple click of the 'quote these messages' button. \

*** Something everyone doesn't know - in the insert quotes popup, you can drag any quote in any order you wish. If you didn't click them in the order you wanted, this is the place to re-order them easily. Here is my insert quotes:

I like the changes. It's a very simple design using less-is-more principals.

The New Posts option shows me all the activity easily, and there always seems to be a half-dozen new posts or more when I visit which helps to give the impression of an active forum.

Nice work!

Ahhh... Well I clicked on "+quote" in the first post and "reply" in the second - expecting it to work the same as vBulletin.
My mistake again I guess!

The forum looks fine to me. Everything seems to be faster now.. adding a new post,
bringing up a new thread, etc.. and that is the most important aspect for me.
