Jan 2017 - negative 70
Feb 2017 - positive 30

I will definitely have better figures on similar poll next year.

What I find somewhat interesting, and perhaps the slightest bit suspicious.. I have been in the same earnings bracket for almost 8 years now.. No matter how much more work I do, or how much I improve on my sites.. If I build more sites or rank for new keywords... I almost always make the same amount, almost monthly..

Its decent earnings, so its hard to complain.. But strange that I can never break this bracket no matter how hard I try.. On average my taxes have been within 12% year after year..

I've been wondering about this as well with some of the brands I promote. Maybe the solution is to promote entirely different brands on each of my websites.

You beat me to the punch line there :D
That's what I do, and so far so good.

You only have to think about it... if your sending more traffic to a casino(s) but you still only making the same income, something is amiss somewhere.

Or even different markets.... That might be the key as well. Bingo, Casino, Poker, Amazon, etc... Maybe push to another industry? I know folks making decent money selling (re-selling) on Amazon. But that requires a different level of effort.

Of course I can only speak for myself.
A few years back, took a look at mainsteam affiliate verticals, and subsquent niches, decided it was too much like hard work. :D

If I was to diversify, I'd stay within the industry.

Most of my sites are US facing, and I have been working with nearly all of the top US accepting brands since I started.. Just started a new one that is so far, doing fairly well.

I have a few world wide and other country specific sites as well, but 95% of all my traffic is still US.. I earn very little from non-us facing brands..

Yes maybe poker or bingo may be an option. I have looked into other programs outside of igaming, but as @AussieDave said.. Pay to Work ratio seems much more uneven. With the residual income and fact their is really no limit on the sale.. I haven't found anything else even comes close..

Anyway, not to hijack the entire thread.. Seems a few people are in the 5-10k range. Would be interesting to see a lot more votes.

Also being in the same position of making just about the same average amount every month.
Been pushing some of my top brands through various markets as well but commissions are not so different. I only managed to make 25k in a single month once last year and dropped back to the average 5-10.

Should consider the advise above, different websites / different markets, different brands.

Are you gaining when you are losing keywords? is it just you working? if so try tripling your output for 12 months then check the results.. I have found the more i do the more i make..

That should be how it goes, right! In RyanWeb's defense, I've experienced a similar scenario before. I can asure you, the extra-work-output was gaining rankings/traffic. While the income increased some, it wasn't anywhere near where it should have been.

It could quite possibly be that age old affiliate question of... Why does Portal-A make money with Casino-X, BUT Portal-B can't make jack with Casino-X. I've found that a difference in wording (grammatics)/presentation (colours/layout), can have a vast influence on conversion ratios.

What is the secret recipe? I have no idea. All I can suggest, if it's not working, try changing things around.

Try promoting other casinos etc. A/B testing is a good one ;)

It's why I generally use a WP theme with a dedicated (static) home page. Can have 2 versions, and switch testing in and out easily!

You mainly got me wondering how is that your tax is just 12%. Is it so low in US or you have some ways of lowering it down?

I think he means within 12% of each other, not 12% in total.

Could be you're competing against yourself. I looked at 2 of the sites with SEM and the top organic kw's for both are planet 7 casino.
I'm not sure how reliable SEM is but why have 2 sites rank for the same phrase?

Yes I mean my net profit on my taxes each year are around 12% of each other on average.. I pay around 30% in taxes :)

I've also started using moz pro to better track rankings and do a little investigating. Making tweaks here and there and monitoring the results more closely.

Took a big hit after Merge Gaming (Carbon) screwed affiliates and broke all of our "lifetime contracts." Took a while, but have recovered and even surpassed the prior averages. With that said, had that not happened I'd have been able to click the next tier up in this poll :(

To you guys wanting to diversify into poker, don't. There's no money in it compared to casino. If I knew anything at all about marketing casinos, I'd be doing that instead of marketing poker. Given the amount of deposits we get every month, if it was lost in the pits or the book... *sigh* I'd make 3x what I make now.
