Hi all and thanks for taking time to read this.

If you haven't run across this yet, there is a term which I would guess is one that comes already written into a standard set of terms from RTG, which states that if a casino account is idle (not logged into) for 180 days that the account is closed and the casino keeps any funds in the casino.

I feel it comes across completely player unfriendly and though anyone who thought it out ... would realize its stupid for the casino to close an account just for the sake of keeping whatever funds are in the account ... that is still likely to be how it will be viewed by the public.

Why this term was ever conceived is a mystery to my best guesses but it is an offense to any affiliate who values the time and effort they put into landing a real player. That it is nothing to go six months without logging into a casino to gamble there. I don't feel I need to point out the reasons further than that.

What are your thoughts about this term and are you comfortable promoting casinos that have it?

Relatively speaking I would consider it to be an unfair term.

EG. Occasionally I place the odd bet usually through Microgaming. I have closed accounts down, not played at certain brands for well over year etc… Fearing opening duplicate accounts I always call support before wagering anything. Need to make sure I only have one account. I request they be reopened and sure enough Microgaming are happy to oblige. The old account number is reinstated immediately and password is reset.

All my loyalty points, balances, are as they were after a year’s time, in some cases longer.

Therefore, with respect to Microgaming the RTG 180 day dormant account term would be absurd IMO. RTG I assume process the technology or whatever to assure these dormant accounts are paid out to the player.

Furthermore, not having wagered at any RTG for years a simple phone call would be all that is needed to reopen an account. Might be different story if I had a balance.

Very unfair term IMO and believe as webmasters we have the responsibility to let our visitors know.

We don't have the term and you will never see it at any casino I work for

Hi Guys and Gals,

Well, I agree this term is completely unfriendly. I think it is born out of short sighted company management who is more concerned with making one month's goals, rather than ensure long term relations with everyone (players, affiliates and employees alike).

We try to be as player friendly as possible over here, because we believe that if we take exceptionally good care of players, they will do plenty of marketing for us through word of mouth, which will ultimately help both our affiliates and our stock holders.

As a rule, I will never work for a place that has this or any of the following:
Inactive Player or Affiliate Rules
Retroactive Anything
Slow/no Payments
Bundling
No Flushes on Cashouts
No procedures for player self exclusion

Having worked for different places I now realize that as an employee, not only for affiliates, we have to take care of our reputation and not just worry about the affiliate program we are dealing with , but with the casinos that are behind everything. The more good affiliates and employees work with good programs, the better they will be and the more the bad programs will suffer (since they will have neither affiliates nor good employees).

Kind Regards,
Nicolas Johnson

Agree 100% bb1, and I think that's awesome an affiliate manager made a public vow/promise to not work for any outfit that works with those types of T&Cs.

As winter approaches (my busy time on the sites) many affiliate programs I am in contact with will be rewarded for those good behaviors. Sorry to any of them who feel I am slow (because I am really busy) ... but if I have promised to get you on our sites, it WILL happen.

Just lots going on in my world right now.
