I would go with something like blogger.com or such which is free. once you have a bunch of material then you can get a domain name and re-use the material to launch it. Just an idea!

buying selling links are no good (unless they have high traffic and are no follow). If google catches people buying links that persons site will be suspended for a year. see googles rules for webmasters for more details.
