I think it usually depends on how your site or page performs for the visitor, if they get / see what they're looking for, then all good, if not then you might need to re-structure the page, move things around. Do some split testing and check what the conversion rates are before and after.

Have you tried using the data highlighter tool in Webmaster tools, that shows you exactly what data you can mark up and pretty much gives you the snippet of how it should look and be implemented on the site

As far as I'm aware these are something that can also be referred as ghost referrals, they hit random UA numbers in analytics without ever actually visiting your site. I think you can create a segment to remove this referral spam,but they won't be comprimising your security
