[Older Alert - 4/19/2010]Star Partners have added a clause to disallow ‘Brand Bidding’. This is in an effort to clear the way for them to run PPC ads on their own with no competition for their own brand identities.

7.4 . Brand bidding is a serious matter at Star Partner . We therefore have set out limitations to advertising on the behalf of our affiliates . Please be advised that if you are found brand bidding , we reserve the right to withdraw your commissions paid to you at any time without any correspondence or warning and ultimately the termination of your account . You may not , under any circumstances , use domain names utilized by Star Partner and its clients . You may therefore not use domain names , brand names or any bid made by your party on keywords , search terms including and without limitations , Crazy Vegas Casino , Crazy Vegas , Crazy Poker , Crazy Mobile Casino , Golden Riviera Casino , Sun Vegas Casino , Maple Casino , Cinema Casino , 777 Dragon Casino ( including Triple Seven Dragon Casino) , Aspinalls Casino , Aspinalls Poker , Casino UK , Casino AUS , and Casino France-Net .


Summary:Brand identity is something that many groups are adding to their terms. As PPC opens up, they do not want to lose out to high PPC bidders. This will keep affiliates from outbidding them.
