Red Hot Revenue has removed the CPA program from their affiliate program effective September 2008.  The following is extracted from their new Terms and Conditions which have removed the old CPA verbage and replaced with the following:

PAYMENT OPTIONS UPDATED – NONTERMS UPDATE

Due to the difficulty in ensuring that affiliates meet their responsibilities with respect to the CPA conditions this program will no longer be offer to new affiliates as of the 1st September 2008. Any affiliate who established CPA programs prior to this date will be reviewed accordingly and notified by email of any change to their earnings structure. As we understand that there are legitimate affiliates who prefer the CPA model we will on a case by case basis review CPA applications. (Please note that Red Hot Revenue reserves the right to withhold payment for CPA deals for 60 days to review traffic and chargeback rates)

Summary: This is no surprise.  CPA is a losing deal in most cases for both affiliate programs and affiliates alike.

Red Hot Revenue changes some terms revolving around CPA qualifications (for promotions).  If you are a CPA affiliate and make use of CPA increase promotions, you will want to peruse this term.

Change #1 – Category: CPA

ADDED TO TERMS

 

 

 

If at any time there is a promotional offer in place that increases the CPA offer then the deposit requirements by any players signing up during this term will not be less than the CPA amount that is being offered. The CPA which you are able to earn will be calculated in accordance with the following table – Qualifying criteria: When a player has a minimum deposit of $50 and wagers the deposit and bonus at least 10 times, he qualifies as a real money player. The qualifying criteria for CPA deals may vary based on the nature and value of the deal. Poker - Players must generate at least $50 in combined rake and tournament fees to qualify as a real money poker player and for the CPA to be paid. We calculate your revenues at the end of every month, and we pay your within 7 days of the start of the following month.

SUMMARY:This change further defines a CPA player.  This is a MUST READ for CPA affiliates as it changes what players qualify for their paycheck.  The interesting part is that a player must play 10x his/her deposit before you get any CPA funds.

Upon changeover to Red Hot Revenue, the terms have changed slightly from the old BetRev Terms and Conditions. We will not outline the name changeovers in the terms, but only the terms that have been actually changed in wording or removed.

Change #1 – Category: Negative Carryover

OLD
Negative balances will NOT carry forward from one month to the next except in the case of a chargeback , which will be carried forward until such time as it is absorbed by your earnings.

NEW
Negative balances will NOT carry forward from one month to the next except in the case of a chargeback and negatives arising from free money promotions, which will be carried forward until such time as it is absorbed by your earnings.

OUR SUMMARY: This is a smart move by Red Hot Revenue and eliminates the possibility of earnings on free money given by the casino.

Change #2 – Category: Commissions

OUR SUMMARY: The revenue percentages have changed based upon the amount of players sent, so take a good look at the changes!

Change #3 – Category: CPA Structure and Promotional Offers

OUR SUMMARY: The only portion of this clause that looks to reduce affiliate earnings is the phrase ‘wager 4 x’ which means that the player must make at least 4 wagers with the deposit before you qualify to earn CPA from that player. It is NOT predatory, but you must be aware of the term.

Change #4 – Category: Hybrid Commission Structure

OLD – COMPLETELY REMOVED
Hybrid program You will be entitled to a commission based on a combination of the Revenue Share and CPA based structures. You will receive a CPA payment of $50 for each depositing player who deposits above a pre-determined amount (filter). The filter amount is at the discretion of Bet Rev and we reserve the right to change this amount with prior written notice at anytime. The filter amount is currently a single deposit of not less than $50. You shall also receive a Revenue Share based payment for each of the qualifying players, being a 25% commission payment over and above your CPA payment. The revenue share payment will only be paid on new depositing players who have deposited above the filter amount v. Should your delivered players not return and substantiate their initial deposit with repeat play and deposits, we reserve the right to move your account back to the Revenue Share model at any time and without prior notice. Our decision with regards to this is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.

OUR SUMMARY: If you are currently in the Hybrid program, you will need to be aware of this removal.  From this point forward, there will be no Hybrid program for commissions structure and you will be limited to either revenue sharing or CPA.
