Category:BrightshareTags:,

Brightshare have added several new definitions to their terms in regards to Money Players including: Real Money Bets, Fraudulent Activity, Network Fees, Progressive Fees, Fraudulent Players, and Progressive Tickers.

PROGRAM UPDATE, Commissions, CPA Qualifications

Real money bets: The number of bets placed at the clients (as defined herein below), in credits and converted to USD.

Real player income: The total USD value of all real bets placed at the clients.

Fraudulent activity: A deception whereby a client is deliberately manipulated by a player, group of players, or an affiliate in order to secure a real or potential, unfair or unlawful gain, including the related costs of fraud. Fraudulent activity includes, but is not exclusive to, registering multiple accounts under multiple aliases, falsifying credit card information, and/or reversing credit card charges to the casino.

Network fees: The fee paid by the client towards the bingo gaming network on all real money bets.

Progressive fees: The fee paid to the gaming network towards the progressive jackpots as a percentage of the real money bets on each progressive jackpot game.

Summary:The definitions are solely for clarification purposes. All items were previously a part of the terms in one form or another, but are now much more clearly outlined.

Brightshare affiilates have updated their Payments Options page to include a change in the minimum payment as well as some additional options for affiliate payments

PROGRAM CHANGE, Commissions – Minimum Payment, Payment Methods

The minimum bank wire amount is $500 1000.

For your convenience we pay by: Payment Options for US Affiliates: QuickTender Click2Pay – only existing accounts Bank Wire (Swift) – only with copy of Drivers License Check - courier service is optional with $35 fee Payment Options for Non US Affiliates: EcoCard Click2Pay Payspark Neteller EntroPay ClickandBuy MoneyBookers Bank Wire (Swift) – $35 service fee Check – courier service is optional with $ 35 fee.

Summary:The wire minimum is huge and makes it difficult for smaller affiliates to promote Brightshare. That is a bummer. However, with more eWallet options – there is always a way to get around that issue.

Title:Brightshare Terms Clarification for ‘Test Players’Date:September 26, 2008 6:58 am
Category:BrightshareTags:,

Brightshare have added a term to their T&C’s which more accurately spells out how affiliates may ‘test’ their click tracking. It also ensures that affiliates are not playing under their own tags for the purpose of cashback.

NEW TERM, Casino-Play on Affiliate Account

h. The marketing opportunity presented in this Affiliate Program is for commercial use only, and the Affiliate, its family members, friends or associates may not make purchases, directly or indirectly, through the Affiliate Tag for the Affiliates own personal use or to fraudulently increase the commissions payable to the Affiliate. Notwithstanding these provisions the Affiliate is entitled and even encouraged to test a limited number of transactions in Clients websites for evaluation, non-commercial purposes only. Transactions made in violation of this provision will be deemed fraudulent behavior and will be deducted from the Affiliate’s commissions and payments as set forth in Section 5 below.

Summary:It sounds like Brightshare have run into some problems with affiliates attempting to play on their affiliate accounts and receive some cashback :) No surprise there and a good term to spell out the ‘lines in the sand’

From the previous terms alert for Brightshare, there was a new addition to the affiliate commission calculation.  After talking with Marcia at Brightshare, this was deemed a mistake and has been removed.  Below is the change made.
