Title:C-Planet Removes Predatory Term!!Date:July 3, 2008 1:12 pm
Category:Affibucks, C-PlanetTags:,

C-Planet removed the only term which placed them as predatory.  This term allowed them to reduce commissions based upon a minimum player rule.  And now, this term has been removed completely!!!

REMOVED TERM

We hereby retain the right to convert the commission scheme by which you shall be paid as we shall see fit. In the event that you should cease to promote the Sites altogether, C-Planet retains the right to reduce your commission to 20%, unless otherwise agreed to by C-Planet.

Summary: Thank you, Ben, for getting this term removed and making C-Planet an affiliate-friendly program!!

Affibucks has moved towards a predatory term.  They now look to reduce commissions LOWER than the agreed upon commission rate in the event you no longer promote their properties

Change #1 – Category: COMMISSIONS, COMMISSION REDUCTION

NEW TERM

In the event that you should cease to promote the Sites altogether, C-Planet retains the right to reduce your commission to 20%, unless otherwise agreed to by C-Planet.

SUMMARY:  This is a reduction in commissions LOWER than any recorded listing on the affiliate website.  This is effectively stealing the hard-earned dollars of affiliates.  We (affiliates) work hard to get players for C-Planet/Affibucks and now they want to reduce commissions because we may not promote them at the moment.  This is a good reason to stop promoting them immediately – do not let them hang this over your head when you have large commissions coming.

Affibucks has changed the minimum payment for affiliates to be paid their commissions. This is quite the large change and affiliates should be aware of it when promoting Affibucks’ properties.
Change #1 – Category: COMMISSIONS, MINIMUM PAYMENT

UPDATED TERM

In the event that the commission to be paid to you in any calendar month is less than $50 200 (the ”Minimum Amount”), C-Planet shall not be obligated to make the payment until such time as the commission is equal to or greater than the Minimum Amount.

SUMMARY: While this is not predatory, affiliates should be aware of the change. This is a large increase in minimum payment and WILL stop some affiliates from being paid this next month.

Click2Pay is no longer an option for affiliate payments according to the Affibucks website. This payment method was removed from the Affibucks FAQ recently.

Change #1 – Category: Payment Option

Updated
Q. How do I receive my money? A. Affiliates are paid monthly via one of three options: – Check – no fee – Click2pay – Wire Transfer Please be advised, that payments less than US$50 will be held over, until the total due to you is over US$50.

OUR SUMMARY: Click2Pay may be the method some affiliates use for payment. If this is the case, you will need to talk to Affibucks ASAP to get your new method of payment in place.

Category:AffibucksTags:

Affibucks now offers CPA in their affiliate program. While CPA is typically a lose-lose venture for programs and affiliates, it is also very typically offered. It seems a lot of spammers like this offering :)

Change #1 – Category: Payment Plans

NEW
Up to $150 per each new player. more information CPA – Cost per Acquisition Performance CPA 1+ $150 per player

OUR SUMMARY: CPA – Not a great model for long term business, but at least it is offered.

Affibucks has now changed over to C-Planet and their terms and conditions show this. However, these are not the only changes to their Terms and Condition NOR to their FAQS. Read on….

Change #1 – Category: Name

NEW Terms Changes
There are really too many to quote, but suffice it to say that ‘C-Planet’ has replaced ‘Affibucks’ & ‘Isagro’.

Change #2 – Category: Sub-Affiliates (FAQ PAGE)

OLD FAQ – REMOVED
Q. What is a sub-affiliate?

A. A sub-affiliate is a person that registers to the Affibucks Affiliate Program based on your recommendation. Once your sub-affiliate starts acquiring new Real Money players, you will earn additional revenue from their referral activity. Sub-affiliates are treated the same way as regular affiliates.

Q. How much can I earn from sub-affiliates?
A. The current payment plan for sub-affiliates is 4% revenue share or $20 CPA.

Q. How do I register a sub-affiliate?
A. You can advertise our Affiliate Program on your website. Sub-affiliates that click on a link from your website to our sign up page and register will be automatically tracked to you. If you have friends that would like to join the program, you can send them a link that will take them to the affiliate sign up page. Once they register, send us an email with their account details and we will track their activity to you.

Q. Can I track the activity of my sub-affiliates?
A. You can track your sub-affiliates’ activity and the commission they generate for you in your account by C-Planet. Click on ”Sub-Affiliate Stats” to view your sub-affiliates’ activity per sub-affiliate, date or commission type

OUR SUMMARY: THIS SECTION HAS BEEN REMOVED COMPLETELY. It certainly appears that C-Planet has removed sub-affiliates. At this point we have only heard that the sub-affiliate program is not ready yet (even though we were told it was sometime back)
