Jackpot Joy Affiliates Terms Change - Player Restrictions and Affiliate Cookie

JackpotJoy Affiliates No Comments »

Jackpot Joy Affiliates have made some adjustments to both their Terms and Conditions as well as their FAQ page.  The terms update is in regards to player restrictions from the US and Australia while the FAQ change makes mention of their new affiliate cookie length.

UPDATED TERMS

JACKPOTJOY does not knowingly accept bets from residents domiciled in US ?territories or Australia, or individuals using US issued bank cards. For full details, please read the Player Terms and Conditions on the JACKPOTJOY website. JACKPOTJOY will not knowingly pay commission monies to affiliates generated from players identified as wagering from US territories or Australia.

3.2 THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF SITES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN JACKPOTJOY: Those that are aimed at children, display child pornography or other illegal sexual acts, promote violence, promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age, promote illegal activitiesactivities, including knowingly targeting advertising of JACKPOTJOY to residents domiciled in US territories or Australia or individuals using US issued bank cards, or violate intellectual property rights.

Summary: This is a typical territory exlusion except that, due to US laws, US credit cards are also excluded as payment methods (even if you live outside of the US).  The second portion of the term update states that it is against their terms and conditions to promote Jackpotjoy towards the US market as well.

UPDATED FAQ

The cookie length is 9999 365 days for all affiliates, so players have a very long time to convert from free player to real money players.

Summary: Cookie length is highly debated by many affiliates.  365 days is a very long time to persist cookies.  Some affiliates like this method while others disagree.  You be the judge if this is for you.

888.com Reduces Affiliate Earnings

888 Affiliates No Comments »

888.com has added a change to their revenue sharing plan to reduce earnings for affiliates no longer bringing players to their casinos (Casino On Net and Pacific Poker brands only).  This could be 1 month of bad SERPS and you will be penalized by up to 30% of your earnings (That is a LOT!!!!).  Additionally, CPA has been removed from these brands.

Summary: This is absolutely horrible for affiliates.  If you promote Casino-On-Net or Pacific Poker, you will want to cease promotion now!  This term allows them to reduce your commissions to 10% if you do not get a new player.  So - even if you do ALL YOU CAN to send them quality traffic, if they do not convert those players, they reduce your earnings.  :(

C-Planet Removes Predatory Term!!

Affibucks, C-Planet No Comments »

REMOVED TERM

We hereby retain the right to convert the commission scheme by which you shall be paid as we shall see fit. In the event that you should cease to promote the Sites altogether, C-Planet retains the right to reduce your commission to 20%, unless otherwise agreed to by C-Planet.

Summary: Thank you, Ben, for getting this term removed and making C-Planet an affiliate-friendly program!!

32Red Affiliates change requirements for depositing players

32Red Affiliates No Comments »

32Red Affiliates, in a response to a post at CAP, have changed a portion of their T&C’s which had previously stated that a player must deposit $50 to be considered a ‘Real Player’ and therefore be tagged to the affiliate account.

UPDATED TERMS

5.2 (b). Referred 32Red Online Casino player A player who has accessed the 32Red Casino and registered for a Real Money account directly through one of Your affiliate links, who has made Real Money deposits of 50 (or currency equivalent) or more, who does not already hold a Real Money account.

5.2 (c) Referred Dash Online Casino player A player who has accessed the Dash Casino and registered for a Real Money account directly through one of Your affiliate links, who has made Real Money deposits of 50 (or currency equivalent) or more, who does not already hold a Real Money account.

5.2 (d). Referred 32Red Online Poker A player who has accessed the 32Red Poker Room and registered for a Real Money account directly through one of your affiliate links, who has made Real Money deposits of $50 or more, who does not already hold a Real Money account.

Summary: This is great news!  Apparently this term should not have been there in the first place, but it is good to know that 32Red Affiliates ARE looking out for affiliate’s best interests.

Hot Pepper Affiliates - Predatory Practices

HotPepperAffiliates No Comments »

Hot Pepper Affiliates are playing with Affiliate’s money in order to keep from paying up on commissions.  Las week we were talking to an affiliate who was having a difficult time being paid.  The affiliate manager mentioned something that WAS NOT in their terms nor on their web pages.  Direct from Timothy Lee (Affiliate Manager) to affiliate: ‘Our minimal commission sum, which we pay, is $200. But it’s only for active webmasters. These are webmasters, who monthly attract 5 new players.’  The terms and conditions stated $100 as minimum for payment and NO minimum player requirement.  NOW (somewhat as expected), they changed their T&C’s to correlate with Timoty’s lies.

NEWLY ADDED TERM

Sign Up Commissions (Sign Up after 10 of Apr. 2008)

New Affiliates receive 50% RVS for 1 months, 40% RVS for 2 months and 30% RVS for 3 months!  Must Bring in a minimum of 10 players per month to qualify.

After that we review our business and will give you best % for your revenue share.

If you have the best suggestion send them to email affmgr@hotpepperaffiliates.com

Summary: This is an EXTREMELY predatory term. In addition to this ‘Minimum Player Requirement’ (which is more extreme than most), their affiliate manager Timothy Lee has lied to affiliates in order to keep commissions. Do not work with Hot Pepper Affiliates. If you want to work with an OddsOn casino, work with Casino Coins. They are honest, trustworthy, and have several casinos to work with which convert much better than Hot Pepper Casino.

SBG Global Affiliates do not get credit for flash casino players.

SBG Global Affiliates No Comments »

SBG Global has added a term to their terms and conditions which clearly states that you will not be paid for flash casino players nor skill gaming players.

NEW TERM

All Affiliate/Marketing payouts will be based on referrals activity in either the sportsbook, racebook or classic casino. Player activity in the new flash casino or skill games do not apply.

Summary: If you are an affiliate of SBG, you might want to take a hard look at cross-promotion.  It appears to us to be quite simple to lose revenue due to this loss of players to the flash casino and skill gaming.

Best Casino Partner Adds Predatory Term

BestCasinoPartner No Comments »

CasinoBlasters has now decided to add a minimum player rule to it’s growing list of unfavorable affiliate terms. This one, though, will get Blasters marked as a Predatory program by AGD.

NEWLY ADDED PREDATORY TERM

Stale balances will be cleared from any Affiliate account that is inactive for 180 days. The following is subject to review on a case-by-case basis: Any Partner Account remaining inactive for a period of 90 days or longer is subject to closure without any further notice. Any future earnings on these accounts will be forfeited automatically. ”Inactive” is defined as no new qualified players delivered within this prescribed period.

Summary: This IS A ‘Minimum Player Rule’ and is considered a predatory practice. Affiliate programs who utilize this practice do so in order to close affiliate accounts where the affiliate is making money even though he/she hasn’t sent a player in awhile (This may or may not be the affiliate’s problem, sometimes the search engines drop your site, sometimes the affiliate might get sick… ALWAYS - the program will take your money).
