WTF? :: C-Planet links on Golden Casino

I debated about where to put this post (CPlanet, or BCP) - if its wrong, Mod can move it - but I put it here because I had not faith in BCP responding at all. I tried to blog about this but in the end I realized not enough people would see it and - I'm kind of corny sounding. So I stripped out most of the blah blah, so I can get a response, because this makes me mad:

As a webmaster most of us are frustrated when a program changes link structure... When this happens we all have to spend loads of time finding deep links and banners that we've put on our websites over the years. Otherwise we face losing our traffic and earnings. To make matters worse this takes away the precious time we have left over for development, with the remainder of our time going towards chasing late payments from certain habitual offenders and watching the forums to see what or who we need to be watching out for next.

What's more, most of the time the affiliate program can change ONE file to save all of us our earnings, effort and time. That's the way a partner would treat you, right? Not put the burden on the affiliates who collectively have to change 100s of 1000s of links. Instead of making things easy and protecting us from the changes they are making - all to often we hear them nagging US that we need to get on the ball and change those links.

I've recently run into something that adds insult to injury here: Remember Golden Casino? run by Best Casino Partners? the program that sprung up out of Casino Blasters? Study this image:



So... why instead of altering one file so we get credit for our traffic do we find a bunch of C-Planet links all over this page?

BCP: - why didn't you treat us like partners here and redirect this to Crazy Slots?

C-Planet: - are you profiting from this or is this an affiliate or BCP as an affiliate? Are you aware of it?

And yes, I realize that this isn't link structure, Golden Casino closed. But the same is applicable. And clearly they have no problem pointing visitors here to other casinos. What I want to know is why people are profiting on our hard work without regards to us. I am curious if (a) BCP is making the money (b) C-Planet is making the money (c) connection between BCP and C-Planet

Thanks for comments, I felt like the post belonged more in BCP forum, but a the same time, I didn't think they would comment. maybe it should be over there because from the first two responses I'm being led to believe that its probably someone at Best Casino Partner.

I notice they have an "advertising" page, now, too.... so others who want to purchase the traffic we are sending them can also rob from our traffic. Like I'm saying I want answers here mostly, I've not accused anyone here. If a moderator feels its more appropriate to have this in BCP forum, that's fine with me.

I'd still like to hear C-Planet's take on this type of advertising practice. It's clearly unethical. I could not update the post title to take any impact off C-Planet.

In regards to Pure Commission, its a long time STRONG rumor that they are one and the same with Rushmore Group, the company that C-Planet is the affiliate arm for.

As you can clearly see in the screen shot you posted Golden Casino no
longer takes players in your area , which is the US.

Golden Casino is no longer BCP, the new owners have either sold the page as advertsing to an affilaite or they are the affiliate them selves. Either way they have affiliate links on the page.

If you look closely there are 4 affilaite programs on the page not just C-planet.

In regards to BCP changing their link structure, I am sorry for the hours you spend changing your links, but you do need to take that up with them.

Its not a rumor or a secret Pure Commission is a separate company from C-planet.

We do provide certain support services for them. Nothing untoward as you are trying to make out.

As far as data sharing why don't you ask the engineer , a full explanation was given to him its a sad fact and part of the industry that data bases are compromised and used by unscrupulous programs . Why are you trying to stir trouble what do these two issues have to do with affiliate links on Golden Casino ? Nothing!

Actually Ben, Nothing against you. I'm doing due-diligence. See, if I don't and I promote rogue casinos, my peers here tell me I should have investigated. Don't get mad at me for asking questions. I do appreciate your answers. I personally am trying to connect the dots between many programs. No one is handing out pamphlets or road maps. I am in business myself, and I usually don't share intelligence with direct competitors and find it highly suspicious behavior. And when (Rushmore Group) did it apparently our information was stolen and used unscrupulously. You are not being very compassionate about that fact.

If members, affiliate managers, moderators, etc, would like me to stop asking difficult questions then I will simply lurk and create my database and keep the information for myself. In short, if I'm offensive to everyone I'd like to know about it because my intention is not to become a pain around here, but it certainly is to shine light in the shadows.

I am sure I received an email a long time ago saying that Golden Casino had been sold to new owners and was closed to all new players, irrespective of their country. It is not just the USA. Whether a sale is the truth or not I don't know, but I am certain that BCP announced it as I remember updating our database and marking Golden Casino as closed.

There aren't any Golden Casino links in the BCP affiliate program any more, but players still show up in the reports. So it would seem that even if they did sell off the casino they still must have some process set up to collate the stats and pay commissions on players who still play there.
