Default VA - are you cross marketing w/o affiliate tags?

Here is my link with my code on it: xhttp://grandhotelcasino.com/?UL=en&btag=aff_102_c2886_b4878

.... if you click it you'll see Grand Hotel.

Look at the peel-away ad. Goes to portal of your own sites with links that have NO affiliate tags following.

    what is this all about?

    Hi WCD,

I just checked the link. clicked the peel away and was redirected to:
    xxxhttps://www.casinoviplounge.com/cvl/rewards.asp

Pull the source code of that page, tried to find a btag or aff tag. Found nothing just straight links.

Unless the cookie is set on the PC from the visit via the original link you posted. Anyone who happens to click on any of the straight links at casinoviplounge page the system recognises them as your traffic.

Of course that's a long shot...Because casinoviplounge.com/cvl/rewards.asp is dynamic so it should reciprocate your aff tags (btag) into all the links to all the Mini Vegas casino properties on that page.

Just seeing open links would concern me....But as I've said before I don't trust FA any more, so I suppose anything is possible.

    Cheers

    Dave

    Hi

We would like to assure all affiliates that the cookies are active even when players visit Casino VIP Lounge after clicking the link on the referred casino site.
CasinoVIPLounge is linked from the casinos to allow players to understand the benefits of this additional loyalty program. The points collected with the casino you referred the player too are counting also towards CasinoVIPLounge loyalty, thus giving the player even more incentives and promotions to stay. And the bonuses awarded by CasinoVIPLounge are redeemable in the referred casino.

Please feel free to contact us should you have any further concerns.

    Best Regards
    Vegas Affiliates

It is after all the internet, anyone can say anything...Whether it's true or not...No offence personally but most times aff programs tell affiliates anything in hope to shut them up!

I'd like to see some proof, like show us evidence here, you know in public ...
If you've got nothing to hide you'll gladly do it.

    Cheers

    Hi,

We are quite willing to prove to you that the initial cookie is still active when visiting CasinoVIPLounge and that there are no new cookies set or old ones overwritten. We are wondering how we could provide this prove? We are very open to this, but prove from our side could again be considered “one sided”. Any affiliate can undertake this test themselves by visiting the casino site; click to the CasinoVIPLounge site to then sign up to the referred casino, keeping in mind that registration date is lagging 3 days in our system.

I visited vegas slot casino and clicked on the flash link and saw this

    xhttps://vegasslot.gameassists.co.uk/vegasslot/default.asp?btag=446_200_265_110_503&trackingguid=52d5dd42-a9ed-49c7-b98e-2b48bb6ec46f

I highly doubt that this tracks to WCD's account.

on your vip loung site there are

xhttp://floriditaclubcasino.com/en/home.aspx for which affiliates do not have affiliate links
xhttp://vegaspokercasino.com --> redirect to vegas slot casino

To summarize it : we get shaved thru your x promotion.

    Crap!

I also hate to be an ass about this, but
click to the CasinoVIPLounge site to then sign up to the referred casino, keeping in mind that registration date is lagging 3 days in our system.
are you still using a 286 running MSDOS? Fix your system is a good idea. Most computers can make entries in less than a second.

How can we test something if it doesn't show a result for 3 days. Do you think our life should revolve around testing affiliate programs?

I have a better solution - remove the freaking CasinoVIPLounge which of course is not a lounge at all but an unnecessary vehicle (which looks like it shaves us) to treat your VIPs to another casino without my tag. Additionally, whats wrong with just treating a VIP like a VIP? why do you need another site to do this? hmmm? OR whats wrong with having my tags follow through to the casinoVIPlounge?

Hi and thanks for your concerns.
As we replied earlier we had some tests done and the cookies work fine.

2 inspiration: We also tried to replicate the problem you addressed and the only possible scenario we can see right now is that you used different browser, so casino page displayed with a btag which is not related to an affiliate account.

2 WCDadmin: Unfortunately it is not about the slow functionality of VA system, it is a delay of pushing the data from Microgaming system to ours. You can see the clicks in real time, but the signups and deposits are showing up after three days.
As for CasinoVipLounge system, it is a separate rewards site created on top of regular casino promotions to increase the retention rate and deposit amounts of your players.

To sum up about the main concern- the cookies are working normally and you won’t lose your referred player who came back to the designated casino after visiting CasinoVipLounge. However to eliminate your concerns, we are working on creating a separate funnel for the affiliates traffic to our casinos and would update all of you about it shortly.

But while they are away playing at VIP Lounge, the affiliate earns nothing on the losses at that casino -- is that correct? VIP Lounge isn't in the stats, so I assume that must be the case. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If I'm right -- why do you think that is okay to do? An affiliate sends players, then you entice the players to a separate casino where the affiliate is cut out of the rev-share agreement. Do you think that is fair?
