It seems to be real. My new password didn't work, though, so I had to reset it by clicking the "forgot password" link.

I didn't even get this email, and I can't log into my C-planet account. I just checked then after reading this thread. Good old C-planet, very organized indeed

Well the new password they sent me worked and logged me in... All I did was change it to a different password that I will remember.. Since there is no link for you to click on... its not a fishing scam... As long as you type in c-planet.com into your browser I dont see how it could be fake.

However I dont know why they are changing the passwords for us...? Unless something happened to our old passwords... An Email telling us we need to change the passwords ourself would have been more.... organized ?

Just to confirm, aff passwords were changed. Its been years (since we opened) since the password module was updated and this proactive step was necessary to stay up to date with modern security requirements. The mails were sent to all affiliates to the email addresses listed on your accounts. If anyone is having any issues you can email support@c-planet.com and we'll be happy to help.

I got 3 emails, with 3 different passwords. And they didn't work. hehe But I was able to get my password changed using the password recovery option.

Reading between the lines... I am going to speculate they were either hacked or worried that someone (ex-employee ?) stole a copy of the database. New password didn't work so I had to do the forgot password thing too.
