What should be the location of social media buttons on a page ? On top-left, on bottom or another place ?

I think social media buttons should be underneath the content. Seems to be the most natural and logical position in my opinion. If I were to bookmark something, it would be at the conclusion of reading an article or page.

My social media buttons are on the top of every page of my site.
I think this is a good choice.

It really depends, IMO. If you mean bookmarking, then it should be at the bottom of the content (IMO). If it is social media sites and your 'page' on those sites, then the top is fine (like at the top of AGD).

On a new site of mine, I am putting them in the left menu. So as long as they are noticeable it is fun if they are 'pages'.

Just get them where you can. If it is a lot easier coding them in the bottom than the top then do not worry about it.

If you are able to do them both with ease then test them out. Having them at the top, people will see them straight away...but them may forget or they may have I cba state of mind to scroll back up.

At the bottom they may read the article and think, right I am off now, bye.

If a user really wants to share something then they will look out for the buttons if they are in an obvious place.

It would be cool if someone tested the top verse bottom.

I prefer when social media buttons are discreet, like at the bottom of a website once I'm done reading through the conent. If the social media buttons are up the top, I haven't had a chance to review the content yet so I don't even know if I want to follow on Facebook or Twitter.

Something I do really like is the direct Twitter feed on a website, keeps it fresh and up to date. You can then update the website and your Twitter in one go- so it's like 2 birds with the 1 stone.

Not sure it was intentional, but I did have a little chuckle over Twitter and 'like 2 birds with 1 stone'

    Anyway, I have the following:

New Casino Bonuses - Casino Bonus Farm

And I put the Social Media button(s) in the sidebar. There is only Twitter now, but will be more there in the future. It may be too high up, but I still like it there.
