I'm always a little reluctant to chime in where things don't directly affect me. Not because I don't care, but more due to the fact it's easy for affiliate programs to dismiss the opinion of people who aren't their affiliates.
That caveat aside : this is a change that will only negatively effect affiliates. Regardless of the 'retroactive' terms, this kind of term can basically take all of an affiliate's commission for a full month and never replace it.
Similarly, a $10k win in a month is not and should not designate a high roller. Dropping $30k+ in deposits might be an indication of a serious player, but winning $10k - that has nothing to do with how a player rolls.
The thing is : the online casinos know this. It's all a cost cutting measure and it's something we need to stop. Frankly, I couldn't give a damn whether Roxy are reputable/nice people/buy their round at the pub/have a younger sister that's really hot/ .
This isn't acceptable. End of story.
I think it is important to have affiliates involved when changing a contract. Simple as that. Maybe even setup a forum on their own site to avoid splinter conversations at multiple forums where someone or another feels left out.
The program should make a general announcement that there will be a program change and provide a forum for which we can discuss any changes over a specified period of time. The casino should be logical about things - they clearly should not do anything that is clearly underhanded or unfair (like removing commissions owed via regular players to recoup losses on a big winner, as some have mentioned)
There will be some who will not agree with any changes, and they have that right. There are others who would like to make sure that if a change is to be made, then all parties can participate and hopefully come to an agreement as partners where all sides are taken into consideration.
I stayed with Roxy since I attempt to promote globally. That being said, I never heard from them about this change regarding High Rollers either before or after.
My guess? They talked to their most "successful" affiliates.
No notice here.
I vote no.
I still promote Roxy but never was asked...

Unbelievable. You are kidding us, right?Roxy has always been one of the most respected affiliate programs around, in my opinion. I don't understand why any affiliate would have an issue with this change. Me:
To me, it seems like a gift from Roxy to their partners, actually. Me:![]()
While I have disagreed with you occassionally, I always thought you were a true advocate for the affiliates.
How in the world could you condone retroactive changes in affiliate terms.
As a leader in our industry, this is Frightening, IMO.
I guess you are falling prey to the corporate atmosphere you now live in.
I guess the Grand Prive thing was OK with you too.
Same damn difference.
I can't believe you posted that!!!!!
I am really disappointed in you!![]()
All these programs changing T&C’s into predatory and I have yet to promote any of them. I gave up on Roxy two years ago formally via email. Not a program for me from the start. Suppose a good call on my part considering these brutish changes.
IMO the high roller term is totally unacceptable. And I really do not like seeing my good friends betrayed in this manner. A community we are and will wait eagerly for the out come.

Not acceptable any way you look at it !
Opt in is the only way this should ever happen, as when Rewards changed.
Thats why they will always have the best exposure on my sites.

Lol Peter,
I'll touch on that for a second. If I am lucky enough to get a highroller, I want them at a Casino Rewards casino. Win lose or draw, we make money. They have enough casinos to fill anyones website and always do their best to make it fair for affiliates. Timely payments, OPT in for earning changes....I could go on and one but then I would have to send Renee, "The best affiliate manager in the biz" a bill.....lol.
