    Default Question to Affiliates

I was previously a long time player with Main Street Casinos and deposited with all of them for the past 3-4 years. In June 2010, I asked Jason Carter who my affiliate was so that I could speak with them regarding incidents which happened at SunPalace casino.

I was told they could not reveal this due to "confidentiality reasons". I wanted someone to speak to in terms of how SunPalace handled a payout request after winning one of their jackpots. Incidentally, they will not flush a players account even when asked and leave the funds in there for over 5 days (hoping you will reverse and lose). They also will not provide play logs after being asked 3-4 times.

I became so disgusted with them, I closed every single account at each of their casinos. I was depositing between $400-500 each time. The affiliate should know the reason why he lost a player and understand how players feel disrespected by these casinos.

Is that normal protocol where a player should not know who the affiliate "tagged to their account" is?

Unfortunately, yes. Many of these places will even put this in their terms and conditions that affiliates cannot contact the players. It is very stupid and short sighted since many of us help players resolve issues (which keeps them happy and playing).

However - from *their* perspective, they don't want the affiliate to send the player to a better casino.

As you can see... this doesn't always help them as players that are not happy WILL leave.

I'll step up and say the emperor wears no clothes.

The reason they don't want us in contact with the players is that it makes it damn hard to untag a player if the aff knows they are still playing at the casino.

I do add a caveat that is not the intention of all sponsors
COMING SOON! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? Stay tuned. - Update: should also have a stats for you telling how often the player is active in that casino.

    Hmmm...

Interesting that you guys seem to not like it that we don't give player's the info of which affiliate sent them.

I always looked at it as a privacy thing. Some affiliates are very private, and I always imagined they wouldn't appreciate us telling players that they came from x site.

I never even though that this would avoid complaints, generally, if a player wants to complain I'll send them a link to casinomeister; since I have no problems with player complaints. As long as we are honest, it shouldn't matter.

So... I'm off to make a poll:
Do you guys want us to give players the affiliate URL that sent them upon request?

the url is ok but no names.

I look at it as safety issue, a disgruntled gambler might come after me blaming me for ruining his life and I may have to take him out and end up in prison which means if/when I get out I'd have to go after the AM that gave them my name in the first place.

I would have no problem with the affiliate manager revealing the affiliate site, but definitely no names. We would *love* to get more feedback from players, good or bad, as it helps us to provide better information.

Thanks for the feedback caseydog, I have always found Mainstreet to be one of the better run RTG operations, but it always helps to hear of current issues.

That made me LOL big time. Having received quite a number of threats to my physical well being, I completely understand regarding the name.

You know, a co-worker actually had a bad experience with a guy who flew all the way down here and hunted her down (although I gotta admit that guy was more a sexual predator than anything)

it was meant to be humorous, but you never know. A staff member at one of the forums lives not to far away, and although I don't know her personally, she had her full name, location and an avatar of her and her young child.

At first I was not going to pm her about it as not to scare her but after seeing it a few times in her posts I pm'd to point out that she is giving all the info a crazy would need and after all, we do promote gambling.

She thanked me and changed it.
