Default Panda update - How you fairing?

The lastest alog tweaks have reinstated my previously lost serps. 50% of these have increased rankings - 2 or 3 position up the food chain on page 1. I have noticed a massive decrease in serps of sites which have been crapping my blogs, which makes me happy.

Sign-ups have dramatically increased as a result.

What about you, has the latest Panda updates been a good experience or not?

The recent Panda update wasn't too good for me. Most of my sites went backwards in Google, and only a couple went forward. I'm still researching to find out what I should be doing to get back my old rankings. Maybe its just a matter of building more high quality links? Not sure.

I think that Panda will have a bad influence on sites with not natural links. Try to diversify your anchors in links to keep it natural. Also I think that it is important to have more inner links to specific pages. Unique content is must if your target is first serp position.

I just googled a long tail and did a link analysis on the top three sites. The most important thing I saw in re linkage is that they had these things in common:

+/- 3:1 internal to external link ratio and almost all of the externals were no follow.
I know its not the only metric but I think it says something.

Panda makes good work. The companies which use white SEO shouldn't be afraid of it. So be more attentive while you built links, choose really good sources and you will love Panda!

Panda has not hurt me, at least not directly.

However, I currently see a LOT of Black Hat crap that really works well to gain rankings in google.

What has hurt me are the piss poor google search results.

Google has obviously decided to focus on things like +1(sucks) and Buzz(dead) and the rest of that stupid crap they have been putting out and they have lost their focus on quality search.

Steve Jobs was right... If they are going to provide quality search results they need to FOCUS on search and not on social media, buying Motorola, buying Yahoo, producing smart phones and producing TV shows.

Google is becoming another Microsoft... A company that generates a huge amount of products and does not do justice to any of them.

Just as an example of how bad the google search results are... check the query [blackjack] in google (US data set). It will currently return, a pizza delivery site and a snow skiing site on the first page of the SERP...

The google serp outside the US, are still fairly good... mostly because the "new" features (new algo) are not available outside the US yet.

From what I have read, we should add fresh content as often as possible, and to focus on social bookmarking sites. That said, a static web site might suffer. Therefore, take a more dynamic approach to your web site and do the dishes.

    What do you mean?

I own several directories and they are all doing very well, actually traffic has increased to my casino directory by about 35% since the 23rd of this month.

(That reminds me... I am looking for some new casino sites to list, if you have a casino site and would like a listing in lots0cash.com's casino directory, please PM me or contact me directly at lots0cash.com, listings are free. Sorry, NO AFFILIATE SITES ACCEPTED.)

About the Google Fresh Data thing.
The google fresh data thing does not apply to all sites/pages, only those that deal in current info, like news and blogs.

If you have an article/page on the odds of a casino table game, how are you going to possibly add NEW/FRESH information to the article? You can only do that if your article was incomplete in the first place. After all, the math don't change...
