That's a tough question. Every webmaster is different, but if I were to start all over, I would concentrate on not putting as many banners up and doing research on each affiliate program.

When I first started, I picked programs that weren't all that great and converted poorly. Once I got good quality casinos placed, I actually started making some money.

Make sure your site is unique as well and get as much content as you can BEFORE going live. I look at it like I would any business:

You need at least a years worth of capitol to start a proper business.

Relating that to forming an affiliate website... You need a month's worth of content before going live This will give you a buffer and allow you to put up new pages daily for at least a month before you run out. During that month, you should obviously try to increase the amount of content you have, but you can also research and SEO your site.
