Links and Exchanges - Which are worth it?

Hi Guys,
I see that people are offering to sell links and add link exchanges, 3-way links etc.
Can someone help me with what the meaning of 3-way links is and whether it is worthwhile to buy links and from whom?

Hi dude,

Please refer to my advices below:

1. Do not participate in schemes related to 3-way link exchange.
2. Exchange directly links with a few, but quality websites.
3. Write top quality articles and offer them to other webmasters in exchange
of link placed in the body of your articles.
4. If you decide to buy links do it very carefully: only in content links
on reputable gambling sites.

A 3-way link is an exchange of links between several sites like the following:

I link to you in this manner:

AffiliateGuardDog.com web page :: Links To :: --> Zoltar.com

You would link back in this manner:

ZoltarsOtherSite.com :: Links To :: --> AffiliateGuardDog.com


That way we are not linking back and forth, but from different sites in a one-way fashion.
