Default "The Kiss Off" from eCOGRA

Well folks, looks like eCOGRA is done with the matter, and no help for Referspot players....here is what i received today.....bunch of bullshit.
    Dear Pat,

We have noted your concern raised as to the adequacy of the settlement amount recommended by the eCOGRA investigators.

We would like to emphasise that our mandate from Grand Prive was to review all records provided by the company in respect of the Grand Prive Affiliate Program software and related database. We were not requested to review any other affiliate program system or information, nor were we made aware of any other system or pertinent information.

We are confident that the settlement amounts have been correctly calculated based on our mandate and the affiliate and player data provided to us by Grand Prive at the time of the review. Regrettably we cannot legally perform any further investigation work into this matter unless mandated by Grand Prive management. Such a mandate has not to date been forthcoming.

    Regards,

    Sean

Very disappointing I was hoping all parties involved would do the the right thing. Same old song and dance what will come next is anyone's guess.

I think most affiliates would agree this fight has just begun.

Well seeing how eCOGRA is saying that they can not investigate without GP permission, then I can wait to see how "eager" GP really is to do the right thing by stepping up now and "giving the ok" to investigate the referspot players also.....if this is not done, then they knew exactly what they were doing when the authorized this little party and knew all the "big" money was with older players and they were not about to give up that info.

    So GP......what will it be?

Yes, this falls squarely on GP. I think eCogra has done what they could with the data given. I would still like to know the percentage they are giving affiliates based upon their players, though.

I know that GP was not planning on giving 100% of the monies, so what % did they end up giving? That part would fall on eCogra negotiations with GP, the rest is all Grand Prive.

I don't think I would trust their GP database even. I would bet that DB is suspect - the MGS database is the one that should be looked at IMO.

Yip I got that letter as well and I also have proof that I have earned more then 7 bucks over the period of 2008. This whole thing was a waste of time and insult to affiliates and has given us all the answer we needed before and that is eCogra is nothing but a paid partner to Microgaming brands.

I sent eCogra details of my last yr of pay it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that it was more then an average of $7 a month. They cannot claim to be that stupid to think that the records were not altered and tampered with but yet they are saying all findings were acceptable and la te da Grand Prive and go on stealing from affiliates!

Well that's because GP hired them to look at stuff and only the stuff they provided.

That's not what an audit is, or I wanna do it this way with the IRS too.

Really, the ball is in Microgaming's court.

Microgaming handled the mapping over from Referspot to Grand Prive aff systems, and they have to have the part of knowledge that eCOGRA has been deprived of.

I hope they step up to the plate now.

They NEED to. This was a farce and it all starts with Microgaming. That's just my opinion, but without their help - this is just Grand Prive's game show.

Not going to say we were not all shorted, I know we were, BUT you also have to remember we all blacklisted and told our players to stay away from GP so that have some affect as to drastically cutting earnings from what we earned prior and have records of.

Affiliates do not pay Ecogras bills or directly put food on their table, so to speak.

I do believe Ecogras Board believes and closely adheres to the old saying... "Never bite the hand that feeds you."
