Default Just launched my affiliate blog

Not sure if a bit of self promotion is allowed on these boards, but along as Admin doesn't delete this I'd like to mention the fact that I've finally got round to starting up an affiliate blog.

It's a little bare at the moment, but I've written a couple of in-depth articles regarding Setting up Goals in Google Analytics and the new look Facebook pages which will be launching on Sunday.Any feedback you have (or suggestions for future topics) would certainly be welcome. As would a 'Like' if possible - the FB box on the right is still looking a little bit empty

Your blog is really well done, and it also has a lot of great information I set up a Wordpress blog on one of my websites last night. It's almost essential to have a blog or some kind of content on a website now for Google rankings. But on the plus side, even without hitting page 1 for a big keyword, unique content is also great for attracting new visitors to a website.

    The goals article is good.

One problem I have recently noticed with goals for tracking clicks is that Google only tracks unique goals per session. So say you have a visitor who clicks 5 links in a session, analytics will only log 1 goal. I always wondered why our clicks logged in the database were sometimes 30-40% lower than analytics goals, and had assumed it was a large amount of bot traffic that analytics doesn't log. In cases like that it is better to use event tracking instead of goals so you get a better picture of the actual number of clicks you're generating. Since switching to events, the difference between our logs and analytics is minimal.

There's a topic for your next article
