It pretty much amounts to affiliates only being used to bring fresh, new players. That is why incentives are not based on revenues generated as would be logical, but on numbers of new players, regardless of value. Once the new players are in the system, they are bought and sold or traded in many cases. This results in affiliates working their butt off to bring large numbers of new players, but never enjoying that actual revenues created by these players.
This may answer my question as to why as the years go by there seems to always only be a handful of long term players playing.

The affiliate payment bill is just too large for it to be ignored in a tough economy.

I have also noticed lots of shilling going around about this group on forums.

I might add after re-reading Dom's post about all the CD's I/we receive.

    • The longer your site is active, the more traffic you should get.
    • The longer you promote a program the more players you'll have and the better stats you'll have to know if something is amiss.

It's not too hard to figure out your average player worth.

If however you are seeing drastic changes in income as direct and ongoing issues to lack of players deposits, sign-ups, retention & or whales disappearing, the likelihood of something iffy is IMHO on the cards.

It doesn't take a genius to know if something ain't right.

Aff programs that are doing dodgy sh#t will blame the economic down turn, your quality of traffic - they'll pull any excuse in an attempt to throw suspicion away from them.

But stats and number crunching don't lie. Especially if your income is taking a BIG hit month after month, when previously this program was performing well for you.

Too many long time affiliates are reporting funky stats for my liking.

Anyone that is seeing similar data should IMHO be asking questions from the affiliate programs concerned. Affiliates should also be actively sharing this data on forums such as AGD. We owe it to ourselves to look out for each other, don't we?

Player stealing, data selling and stats shaving has got a lot worse since Grand Prive` got away with shafting affiliates.

It's about time (and long overdue) for affiliate programs to be held accountable.
After all it's our money and livelihoods that are on the line here!

    Cheers

I was twice today, cold called by Prism casino, some place I have never heard of, or at least, don't remember.

Rather strange if they ARE some place I have played, that they'd raise up and be so noticed all at once such as has been done.

MORONS! Those idiots ruin things for everybody because while the player may not fall for their BS, the simple fact they called the player's house has now alerted the spouse, the kids, and the dog, and anybody else within hearing range of the answering machine, which means to the rest of us, that every spouse who was hiding their play, that was contacted by these jerks, now will have to cool it for some a while, others will quit and not go back to on line, because its just too big a risk when you start getting cold called by casinos you never heard of, or that were so vague in memory you don't recall them.

And in the case of Prism, you'll love this.

300% bonus, (and I swear this is what he said)... NO wagering requirements.

so go deposit 10,000 and turn around and withdraw 300% on that.

    right.

yet that is what the prick said.

    .................................................. ....

You know what amazes me most is you would think that at least a few of the greed-goats would at least have enough sense to see that Vegas is coming and instead of cementing themselves in as being reliable, responsible establishments they piss on our legs and tell us its raining and most astonishingly is the morons actually believe that they are selling us on their consistent excuses, glitches and sideways pitches.

Yes they've gotten richer than any person should be, on our sweat, but greed breeds need. So eventually their approach will fail them the same as the systems that their gamblers try and eventually fail using.

In other words, they'll never be able to get enough, which is really a thorn in the side when you've been estranged from the majority of affs who actually earn money.

As Dave said, you can't hide bottom line.

I have been preaching for some time now, if the place ain't making you money, don't list them. At least not in any spots that see traffic.

I would think this thread greatly echoes that sentiment.

Now I've got a few BCP links left to hunt down. I guess its time to practice the preach.
COMING SOON! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? Stay tuned. - Update: should also have a stats for you telling how often the player is active in that casino.
